They're unveiling a new logo on Monday as well.

Does anyone (looking at SBCGirl) know when the SBC Center is changing its name?

SBC changed the name of PacBell Park pretty soon after they took over out in Cali, so I wouldn't guess they'd wait long.

I think the AT&T Death Star is being retired as well. SBC/AT&T is bringing out a whole new look.

Also, I remember Bank One Ballpark in Phoenix changed its name to Chase Field as soon as that merger ended this year. Does anyone here know how they handled that? Whatever they did, this is what the Spurs are going to do most likely.

EDIT: After doing a little research, I found out that America West Arena is going to become US Airways Center later this season!!! I almost completly forgot those two merged.

You're correct, on both counts. In Arizona, there was a big unveiling of the Chase Field logo before a Diamondbacks' game. There were many giveaways, etc., to fans who went to the game.

AWA will be US Airways Center in January. The logos on the corporate bulidings have already changed here in Phx. :)

Yep. They should have just called it "Houston Street Hay Barn" from the getgo and been done with it.

Just think...all those businesses on SBC Parkway are gonna have to change their signage, stationery, truck logos, yada yada yada. I'd sue to make SBC/at&t pay for it!

It looks like a beach ball. Maybe they will have beach balls to throw around the arena (a la rock concert) at the Spurs games that look like this.

LISTEN UP SBC/AT&T BIG WHIGS. Why not buck tradition and name it THE PEOPLE'S ARENA. Or we could go with THE NIOSA CENTER. Let's call it what it is people, one big fucking party. Maybe, The Palace of Champions. That would piss off those Pistons. Maybe we could have George Straight announce the starting lineups, Tommy Lee. Hey, new name, new personal changes. Or my best idea yet, we hold out and demand that they leave it as the SBC CENTER. Until they give into our demands, we'll play in the ALAMO DOME. I still think our playoff games should be played in the ALAMO DOME, but that's just me. I think teams were frightened to play there cause it was so big. But I wonder how much it would effect the SPURS. Hmmm. Wait, one more, PHAT CAT EXECUTIVE SUITE. Maybe? But SBC CENTER will always have a place in my heart. KEEP THE NAME.

Hey want to buy some DSL on WWII era copper lines? Or maybe we can sue time warner to force them to let us use the fiber cable that Paragon pulled errr.. (they actually did that btw and lost).

When at&t starts pulling brand new fiber in San Antonio then I might use there service. Instead of them just collecting the money on the old stuff.
