It's good to see a team that just worries about what they can accomplish rather than get intimidated by their opponents jersey.

I'm not sure there's a collegiate defense that can contain a motivated USC team. USC might give up a ton of points as well (though I think they're better defensively than some think) but they score on everyone.

SC's defense does what it has to do - make enough stops for its offense to do the job.

Sorry, the sip defense hasn't faced any trifecta of players like Linehart, Bush, and White.

Throw in their WRs and they're damn tough to defend.

I don't see how anyone can truly expect to slow down the USC offense for an entire game. They have too many ways to attack a defense. I mean, defensively, you have to account for Reggie Bush on every play. If you gang up to stop runs and short passes out of the backfield, they have other guys who can beat you. But even if you find some success, all SC has to do is put Bush in the slot and put White in the backfield. It's a pick your poison situation. If you maintain the effort against the run, you can't easily defend Bush in the slot and they'll use Bush in that way. If you pay too much attention to Bush in the slot, White is good enough to rip what's left of the defense. And that doesn't even begin to account for Leinart and their WR's. I still don't think there's a collegiate defense that has a chance to stop them for more than a quarter or so.

Usually when the Austin fag bashing starts by an Aggie, it's because they were really trying to come up with some clever way that College Station is a better town to live in than Austin, drew a blank, and then used the easiest available putdown. Just my observation, for what that's worth.

wow, great game. i guess reggie has just been saving up for this game. 513 all-purpose yards... including 23 carries for 294 yards and 2 touchdowns, 3 receptions for 68 yards. that one run where he stopped and then cut across was worth the wait of the few so-so games.

That was a Barry Sanders type move. The guy is just unbelieveable. He seriously looks like he's playing at a different speed. Almost as if the defense is running in slow motion.

Fresno St has a good program. They should be ranked much higher than 16th. They're gonna be a team to reckoned with in the future. The only games they lost this year were to #1 (USC) and #10 (Oregon) on the road. Both games that were within their grasp until the very end. They've pretty much dominated the rest of their schedule.

yeah, they do have a good program. and it all starts with their coach. i love how they will play anybody, anytime, anywhere. their players think they can win every game (they had the lead in both of the games at some point). their fans travel well (even though fresno isnt far, they still had a ton of fans). it was a good matchup. great time... too bad i couldn't have caught the game ball reggie threw. that was one lucky kid. about ten feet back and 3 feet down and it could have been mine. i could've taken the kid.
