View Full Version : Young or Bush. Who deserves the Heisman?

Should it be the most valuable player to his team? (Vince Young)

Or should it be the most dynamic player in the league? (Reggie Bush)

Also, If you were an NFL manager who had the chance to draft either player, which one would you take and why?

I'm rooting for vince, but its not a big deal
guys who deserve it get snubbed every year and guys who win it suckass every other year
I would rather have 3 more wins

Vince deserves the Heisman since he's been more consistent.

I would draft Bush ahead of Vince, because I don't think Vince will make a good pro quarterback.

Bush.

I'd rather mookie chop his balls off than a BUSH win the heisman

but then again, White won it, so its pretty much an overrated, overhyped, tainted, stupid award

If Young racks up 600 total yards against the Agrarians, will people change their minds?

Bush because of what he and USC have accomplished. Plus, the guy is awesome.

Vince is a very close 2nd but if he beats USC I want my vote back.

:lol good one man

they'll be too busy monitoring the pH levels in their soils to realize Vince Young is Systematically impaling the tonsils of each defensive player.

I'd say Bush, but I have the sneaking suspicion that Vince is going to put up ridiculous numbers on us Friday. I don't see how anyone can not give it to Bush after the Fresno State game. Bush doesn't have the pure numbers Vince does, but a lot of that has to do with sharing time with White and that his team doesn't need him as bad. If the award's given to the best college football player (which is what it's supposed to be for), it's given to Reggie Bush, no question.

Drafting depends on needs (e.g. the Texans take Bush over Leinart, they supposedly already have their quarterback).

Bush.

The fact that he puts up the numbers he does when he has to split the ball with Leinhart, White, and Jarrett is even more amazing.

How can anyone vote for Vince Young? Heisman winners shouldn't be booger pickers...

No need to worry.I know it looks glamorous, but being right all the time is a burden. What does it feel like to be wrong all the time?:lol

In reality Bush won't win it.

There would be too much underlined controversy.

He should have won it last year.

Vince Young is the best player in college football right now.

Easily.

The more hyped player usually wins.

Young but Bush is one bad mofo.

I think Bush wins it since he's got the hype, especially the NFL scouting fraternity which is drooling over him. Next season would be Young's time, provided he stays.

Homer, defined.
Why?

Other than today Texas has been playing better schools and Vince has been owning them single handedly.

He deserves it, he earned his more so than Bush has. Don't be a fool dude.

**Also... I see your an Ags fan, therefor nevermind. Calling me a homer is just padding yourself on the back after todays game now.

the heisman belongs to Romance Taylor.

:lmao

If you add up "Romance's" numbers from the past 4 games they don't even add up to what Reggie bush did last week

samikeyp
11-25-2005, 04:57 PM
so no "Romance 4 Heisman" signs? :lmao

Losing rivalry games does things to ya sometimes. About to be 17-32 all time in ours, :oops

All of us here in Arkansas love LSU and their success though, it's a true testiment to what they've been through and I was proud of Arkansas and LSU when their Athletic Director almost cried at thanking us for all the money and support.

The Battle for the Boot is a rivalry. Always. But our schools will always been friends.

Guess that question was answered today...Drunk Ags bustin' on VY! HAHAHA! Loved every minute of it. Even better in person. Serves him right after classless comments. I used to respect him, but noe after that. What goes around comes around. Who would have thought VY would have been so totally outperformed by a Freshman AG QB? I certainly did not.

And all you Horns fans can say scoreboard all you want. And I will ask you to look at the scoreboard...especially with some of the scores you all were predicting.

You should al be thanking God, or whomever you worship, for Sopecial Teams excellence (and pray you do not have to face ISU next week...)

How nice of so many shattered dreamers & ag cock riders to say "We were so close!"
Hmmmm, was this a football game or horsehoes? :lol

Win = THE Season continues

:lol

The spread was 28.

What is it I'm supposed to be upset about again? We knew our team wasn't good this year, you guys were talking all this 66-10 shit all week, and now you come trying to talk smack.

And you didn't even go to school there[/], save some janitor work after you got laid off at your last job.

I'm just having fun laughing at dumbasses like el pimpo sucking "Romance" off vis a vis Reggie Bush, and the dumbass sip alum at my work who gave me [i]35 points for the game today.

Gonna be nice taking his $100, and the other $200 I get to claim from sportsbook.

After reading all the comments in this thread, I have to wonder why everyone has missed an important point. If the Aggies can put on a performance like yesterday, have they not been slackers all season? Have they been playing the wrong quarterback all along? A lot of questions should be answered in College Station. Has Big Dennis been playing the wrong game plan all along? I do not think Texas played so badly as the Aggies finally played up to their potential. Give it some thought before you reply back in a fit of anger. The fact remains that Texas responded well enough to win. After the game is over, that is what matters most . When I think of the fact that all of us watched the same game and saw what we wanted to see, it is really a case of homerism for bragging rights. Other than us, what do you think the players will think after the game? I personally think they will tell you that it was a good football game!!!!!
