mospur 411'd us months ago that it appears Popped gave goodbyes to Spurs office staff.
'mo is keeping it real and just relaying accurate info per his m.o. No promises were given.
So maybe Popped has made his decision already.

OTOH maybe Pop has not.

To the point:

Does the USA losing the Gold Medal cause so much negative media scrutiny that Pop resigns? Or does it make him even more stubborn and he stays just to spite media and all concerned?
To what extent does this 2021 World Commercialism Games outcome affect his decision?

I'm confident he sticks to get the all time wins record.

If Pop would only win 1 game per year he would stay for another 16 or whatever kind of amount of wins he needs to get the alltime win record. His ego is that big

Eeesh. He has made it all about him.
Well if USA Silvers in a close game we can book it he'll stick to his smug "the World is so much better" excuse. Will even have validity if US plays reasonable and other team plays really well.

Bronze he's gonna have some real media storm. No medal and the media is gonna be a major s storm.

I used to think he was retiring but that was about 2-3 years ago. At this point I am done predicting he'll retire. He has a comfortable life. I Don't see it.

Can you believe he let Kyle go? That's a fireable offense if there ever was one.

I thought MoSpur02 started a thread after the season was over and said he's likely not coming back. I guess since they've lost all those assistant coaches and no new coach has been found, it makes sense that he'd return. Would he be coming back on a year to year basis? Was there ever even a possibility that he was going to retire this off-season?

If he was going to retire, he would have announced it already. The draft is coming up and it would have been important to have the new coach established already before the draft which leads me to believe that he will be sticking around at least another year.

Deciders and owners are stupid if they let poop come back

He is an ego maniac and like other say he desperately wants the all time wins record for coaching. I hope he's gone after this year. I'm tired of his Kobe like selfish act of sticking around for too long only for his benefit and nobody else.

Were you hearing the opposite up until now?

He will get the record next year and then retire...and will keep saying he didn't stay just to get the record.
