Tre showed better speed and athleticism than I expected last year. But he could also fade into the background easily, and there were times that it appeared that the team was worse with him running the offense. Could all have been rookie inexperience and a general lack of court time. His athletic ceiling is way below Murray.

But yeah, in general I liked what I saw. As far as making DJ expendable?? Probably not this year....and what's wrong wrong with depth?

The Jones brothers are smart basketball players, it's not shocking to me that he's catching on quick early on in his career.

IMO the Spurs are lacking playmaking in the current squad. Even with Tre in rotation we have only 3 players with decent and above playmaking with DJ being the weakest of the 3.

Landale has shown that he can pass from the post. I'm just not sure how that if ever, will translate to the NBA.
