Side note...I'm kind of looking forward to this game. I think the U.S.A. will be looking for redemption from the pool game loss. They've improved tremendously on the defensive side of the ball since the first few games. Offense is still a little hit and miss, though, and the U.S. has had some ugly slumps that up to this point have only lasted for a half...luckily for them. Should be fun. Give credit to France, man.

France played ok. They had a lot of unforced turnovers that really hurt them, along with Gobert missing all those FTs. Still, they played and fought hard.

My point was that we kept just running down and chucking up senseless 3s, instead of running some offense and taking quality midrange jumpers or attacking the basket. It would be one thing if we were making our 3s, but we weren't. In the last 2 games we were dreadful from beyond the arc. Had we played with a bit more discipline, we would have won by well over 10, if not 20. I say this, because after we got our biggest lead, that is when we began getting sloppy with the ball, taking super quick 3s, and slacking off a bit on D. This allowed France to come back and take it down to the closing seconds.
