Sounds about right
Man if that team - barring injuries and covid of course - doesn’t win every single title it will be a major fail :lol
Espacially with Wildjanim and Ramos bringing leadership to a team thar was deficient in that area

I have doubts about the defensive work rate of the three upfront. I don't know if you can get away with 3 guys that don't help on that area. With 1 you can, with 2 maaaybe. With 3? Mmh.

If you have those 3 and are thinking defense, then you need a new coach, tbh...

The LB is Bernat. He was very good before an ACL injury last year and hasn t returned yet.

Paredes will probably play. But it could be Gueye instead. Or neither of them with a defense of 3 : marquinhos kimpembe ramos

Precisely because you have those kind of players it is why you have to think defense, the offense will sort itself out.

After the meeting of MBappe and Al Khaleifi, it transpired MBappe won't join Madrid, and will be PSG player till the end of his contact in 2022, when he will leave for free.
To be honest, a madness, the PSG will lose around €150M with that decision, but I guess that's a pocket change for Al Khaleifi and the emir of Qatar. But the problem of having a malcontent poisoning the locker room, may prevent them from winning the much awaited Champions.

- PSG will accept to sell MBappe in this transfer window
- the club has made a 5 years + 1 option offer, bellow what Messi and Neymar earn, which was refused by MBappe
- The only official offer received for MBappe was from a PL side
- the club is waiting an offer from Real Madrid, that sources from Madrid say, will be done within the next 8 days

Richarlison won't get along with all the argies in PSG, tbh.
If I'm PSG I'm playing out the season in hopes that winning the CL is enough incentive for Mbappe to stay. If not, I would propose Real a swap for Benzema (with PSG adding money over that, of course).

There is no scenario for a swap with Benzema.
The story about PSG not offering same salary than Neymar is BS... their salary is close enough for PSG to fill an eventual gap. Main story here seems to be ego (dude does not want to stat in Neymar and Messi shadows) and his father / relatives pushing him to sign with Madrid to maximize financial gains. I think if only MBappe was to make a decision he would sign a prolongation with agreement of PSG to not oppose to a future transfer. I'm pretty he was super excited to play with Messi and Neymar

Honestly, no. Barca did this to themselves and deserved everything they got after being the most mismanaged club of the last five years. Will take another five to recover from the terrible contracts of griezmann, dembele and coutinho and sergi Roberto.

You're still looking at the Serie A with the nostalgy provided by past decades of glory. The league fell off, Serie A teams routinely get manhandled by La Liga and Premier League teams on the international stage nowadays.

French federation said PSG must sell for €180M, yet PSG sells for €9M, signs many expensive players this season and refuses to sell MBappé for €200M, but asks Olympique to pay some Financial Fair Play related fines or restrictions. The PSG lost €300M last season. French football federation stays mutis, UEFA and FIFA too.
Al Khaleifi is the president of European Club Association, Qatar got it’s mundial bribing left and right. Qatar pays some TV rights and have all bought. PSG is above any rules, yet year after year is failing in the Champions League.
Maybe the Superleague is the way out of complete corruption and the future of football.

Everybody and their mom knows foreign talent is a huge part of the reason the Premier League is the best league in the world.
Premier League>>>>>>>>>>Serie A>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>French Farmers League. No matter how much you try to :downspin:
Shifting nothing, the vast majority of italian players play in calcio, the vast majority of english players play in england. When we're talking about the quality of the leagues, it makes complete sense.
Sure, there's high flying foreigners in all of those teams, but if we're being honest, outside of Missi and Mbappe, there's not very many difference makers, tbh.
Without Xavi and Iniesta, Lionel Harden spent his athletic prime choking champions league knockout games and finals for Argentina :lmao
I'm sure you had much higher expectations for him early on, but now he's at the end of the road, on a retirement tour in Europe's 6th best league. It sucks i know, sorry this is happening to you :lol
:lol Missi won without Xavi and Iniesta both at the club and NT level. This is a shctick I'm sure you hated losing, but it is what it is...
Penaldo is also milking his brand. You go to such a shitty league and team only to collect paychecks and have plenty of time to do marketing... realistically, nobody expect ManU to compete for the league nor the Champions, tbh...

Messi deserves it this year though.
What it needs to happen is that they should just hand out the 2020 Golden Ball to Lewandoski. It makes no sense to not have a GB for that year when the season was completed. Start that movement for your nigga son.

Looking at the stat sheet, City controlled the game but their continued lack of a Classic 9 cost them. Maybe one argues PSG intends to play this style. Doesn't seem they will roll thru competition and it only takes 1 off night in the knockouts where their limited opportunities don't reach the net.

Up to last year, when midget was still in barca you could make a point about Spain leading, but that really no longer holds, tbh...
1) Italy: Current Euro champs. Always a difficult league to play in, as seen by purported former 'star'.
2) French: Reigning world champs, have the best 3 players in the world in their league.
3) Spain: Slipping since Midget left for France, still #3 because RMAO gets handjobs from UEFA on the regular and they have money to burn.
4) Germany: Steady league and competition. Transitioning to more athletic black players have helped them.
.
.
.
.
.
.
5) Portugal: Still have second-banana talent here and there, and can always cause an odd upset, but far from the top 4.
6) England: Perennial wannabes, always a day late and a dollar short. Easiest league to play in at the moment, tbh, see a player like Aguero that just left as historic goalscorer in the WEPL, and is not even competitive in Barca...

Again, your rankings completely disregard EPL's foreign talent, which represents a significant portion of the league.
You speak as if the EPL has nothing but English born talent playing in it. Your English national team analogy makes absolutely no sense in this context.
French league being top heavy and PSG being stacked doesn't change the fact that the rest of the league is shit. Two months till Christmas and PSG already has a 10 point gap between them and 2nd place and last season's champion dropped off a cliff :lol

All these leagues are top heavy, perhaps with the sole exception being Germany. Spain is RMAO and Barca, with Aleti a distant third. Italy is Juve, Roma or Inter depending on the year and not much else.

Don’t even bother, it’s just one shit take after another from him about a player who hasn’t won a meaningful trophy since 2018.
Ronaldo is a glorified poacher and makes teams have their worst stretch ever after he joins. The gap between the two is pretty real in the past year:

The situation at Man United was dire after the 0:5 vs Liverpool, a total of 3 losses and a draw stretch. They visit the Spurs, not an easy one. And what happened? Ronaldo put the game 0:1 with supreme skill, and makes a great assist for Cavani to put it 0:2 and has two close calls off-side goals annulled, with the game finishing 0:3.
Juve isn’t Real Madrid. They couldn’t afford Ronaldo’s salaries and field a decent roster at the same time. Game in and game out, Ronaldo had to pull burning potatoes out of the stove.

Said only played in 2 games in French League and needs more time. That la liga is much more technical, every team even the smallest know to play, but league 1 is much faster and many players are stronger. It’s difficult to adapt, because first was in hotel 1 month and half and kids starting driving nuts. Now that’s at his home is better but traffic is terrible, doesn’t have time to leave or pickup his kids. Prefers the clima of Barcelona.
When arrived, relation with MBappé was weird, because everyone thought he was a goner, but after improved a lot. Explained that MBappe is different center forward than prime Suárez. MBappé kills you with space and initially was extreme, till last season when switched to center forward. Suárez is a traditional center forward, positions higher on the pitch. Doesn’t know what trident is/was better Neymar, Suárez, Messi or Neymar, MBappé, Messi.
Said nowadays PSG is better than Barça and he came to “win things”. And will try to deliver a Champions league after many seasons being close.
Made a lot of emphasis how much it meant to win a Copa América with the NT after losing so many finals, because he wanted to deliver with Argentina, not just with Barcelona. People were unjust, because they gave it all.
In Barcelona still talks with the Kun Agüero and Jordi Alba, if I’m not mistaken. Said Barcelona could still do a good season with Agüero, Dembele and the youngsters. Was surprised how good is Gavi.
Downplayed the possibility of the 7th golden ball, said if he wins it great, but if not, won’t be sorry. Asked what will do with 35, said he never thought would play for PSG, and will take his decisions day by day.
Said a lot of other stuff. Reporters tried to shake him up, said he cries too much, made a torero joke that with age has became more sensible.

Yeah true. Although with the way they look right now, I’d be shocked if they even make the CL final.

Indeed. PSG does not need Messi to win French league, Messi is here to help the team win the CL. He has been pedestrian since his arrival but showed up for the CL. The thing is they need to play better including Messi in French league to gel together, they can't do that in CL.

Well if I am PSG competition I'd rather play them the soonest possible in the CL. If they stay healthy, the more they will play together the better. Mbappe is on a mission right now, Hakimi is great, Messi will do his things, Ramos back will help them to find some stability. Neymar is the biggest question mark but as we saw today Di Maria is still a force to be reckoned with.

They need to replace Poch. Sticking Messi way out on the sideline doesn’t make any sense.
But I agree, psg should get better with time

I'm gonna be honest here, I'm not following closely PSG just watched CL games and a couple of games in French league. I'm not super familiar with Poch either. I believe the main issue of PSG is not really the coaching, Truchel is obviously a great coach but has not been able to handle it. Too many egos, a structure that needs to become more professional, PSG is rather young with no winning culture, a lot of politics inside the locker room. Changing the coach every other year is not helping to create a stability. Maybe Zidane would be able to put the egos in check and get the offensive players to do the efforts when the team does not have the ball but I am not even sure.

Exactly they need an ego manager more than an X and O’s guy
Watched the City-PSG game , even though City was winning Pep was screaming and giving directions.
Pochettino looked like a traffic cone, circa Dan Majerle’s “defense”
Zidane would force his 3 stars to play defense - to be fair, Neymar actually tried to defend in that game, while Pessi and Mbapo were sleepwalking

Those 3 playing 0 defense whatsoever is putting a lot of pressure on the midfield, the lines are easily broken, team is unbalanced. Look at CR7 team needs to build around the fact dude is not gonna run when losing the ball, not a diss tbh you want him to be as fresh as possible on offense but imagine having 3 CR7s on your team... City is a much more balanced team in that aspect.
I agree that Zidane would at least encourage the stars to press a bit, keep the lines homogeneous. You don't need those 3 to play good defense, just decent enough.

Tuchel’s biggest issue was PSG’s sporting director that Leonard guy. Him and Tuchel butted heads over keeping Thiago Silva and Tuchel felt the front office wasn’t buying players based on who he wanted but rather who Leonardo wanted.
There are definitely egos on the team, but Poch playing Messi way out on the sideline is kinda whack.

To avenge losing MBappé, who’s set to sign a pre-contract with Real Madrid on Juanuary 1st, the Qatari financial fair play wizards, offered €17M net salary to Vini Jr trough his entourage.
Vinicius makes €6M net since he signed for Madrid 3 years ago, and was set for an increase to €9M. His actual contract runs till mid-2024 and the release clause is €700M.
So, PSG would need Vini to demand a transfer. But that would be an very expensive operation, unless PSG waits at least a year and half, and also Vinicius plays the same position as Neymar.
I think Vini will rather stay in Madrid, and isn’t 100% money motivated. Besides, endorsements are probably higher if being a star of Real Madrid, than a PSG star - which isn’t a given.

Latest news are the Emir of Qatar, will remove much of the financial backing for the PSG. After the fail to win a Champions League and keep Kylian, didn’t do much to help promote the Qatar 2022 World Cup. Which I think state-clubs, particularly not respecting rules, never made much sense.
