In short bursts and tournaments he is great, we saw that at the start of the season. But he cant keep up that pace for a full NBA season.

Although I wish them well, I don't think I'm going to miss Gay, DeRozan, or Lyles very much. I will miss Patty.

I’m glad Patty is getting a last sizable contract before he retires, but I’m also glad the Spurs aren’t the ones paying him. We need to concentrate on young player development, decide who’s worth keeping, and not sweat the losses that will result. That being said, thanks to Patty for his play, leadership & good cheer for the last several years.

My complaint about Patty was always that Pop wasn’t using him correctly. Give him those short, explosive stints, limit him to 12 minutes or less per game, and he’d of been fresh all year. That’s what he’ll get in Brooklyn and he’ll be great I’m sure.

Accounting for Tax, Nets are paying 30 mill for Patty.

It's gonna be just like 2014 for Patty with KD/Harden setting him up for wide open looks like Manu/Bobo used to.
