Shit...I remember an NBA team being refered to as "San Antonio North"...Can't remember which team it was, though.

Try farther north for that one. Near the Great Lakes, if that helps.

Oh yeah! I think it was Cleveland Cavaliers.

but they beat us by 20, remember? So according to Mavs fan, they're the champs now. Sadly, until we beat the Mavs, we're Dallas South. :cry

AJ's had a full offseason and training camp to set his system up. Now their D is solid and I think they are a little bit more methodical with their O. Hopefully whenever Pop decides to step down, AJ will be available.

The game broadcasted over here yesterday was Dallas vs. Houston and I must say I was realy impressed by Dallas' D.
Rotating like crazy and covering each other's asses.
Must say that Houston played like crap, but still.

Nice job little general!
You finaly got the D back over there.

I actually was a little disappointed with their performance last night. They didn't start trying til the second half but a win is a win.

What are you talking about? 2 years ago they had a 13 point lead in game 6 of the Western Conference Finals. I could understand that talk if they were a one-and-out every year. They've come back from 17 down in the 4th to beat Phoenix, and they destroyed the Spurs and Pistons.

No team with Avery Johnson as coach will win an NBA Championship.

Not true.

Look at the 1999 San Antonio Spurs.

He knows alot of coaches including your coach that is Popovich. He also learned from an offensive coach in Don Nelson. I think he put it together and make the mavericks that much harder.

You are the one who considers that (wannabee) to be an insult.

They want to be a defensive team. So what is wrong with Avery to want that? He has done a good job at that so far. Y'all just hate Dallas.

The facts are that right now the Mavs are a good to great team playing at their full potential.

The Spurs meanwhile a great to dynastic team just showing evidence of catching their stride (and showed evidence of it last night that they are coming on). The Spurs have the extra gear in them as proven by multiple recent championships that the Mavs have never shown when it counted.

NBA fans of other teams, including the Mavs, be afraid, be very afraid.
