IMO they should just get rid of the standard deduction and get rid of SALT taxes or at least fully subsidize them at the federal level. making $125K a year in Texas or Florida is a lot better than making $125K in Oklahoma or Georgia because of SALT taxes, even if the other cost of living factors are cheaper in the latter states.

I know people that live in Wyoming but have to work in Utah because there are few jobs in Wyoming, so they get hosed by Utah SALT taxes that largely go to the Mormon Church;

SALT taxes are downright disgusting. They are in the same category as slavery, and thus should be abolished.

IMO there should just be a federal tax of 30% on everything for everyone, both people and corporations... no deductions for any reason. so poor people pay 30%, the middle class pays 30%, and Jeff Bezos pays 30%, and Amazon itself pays 30%. No deductions, so 30% means 30% for EVERYONE and ALL CORPORATIONS. If a company wants to stay in business they need to hire and operate with their after tax money in mind only.

If ducks could figure the "sneak" then it really wasn't sneaky at all, was it?

10000 is bullshit but if dems don't cap it at a decent amount it will be bullshit, so obviously they aren't going to cap it. But what I'd love for them to actually do is take the tax hike that the poors were getting this year thanks to trump and that would be the new tax hike on the rich
