Damn. Would have liked to see them in concert but you can't always get what you want.

He wasn't really playing with them live in recent years, more of an animatronic mascot to be cheered on the jumbotron. Which is still cool as a fan, and maybe cool for him too. Something something beast of burden.

As Tears Go By, this is a sad one. I get no satisfaction in this post.

Obviously, GM, it's painted black.

See, you just cannot stand the satisfaction of being serious, ever. I try and join you in a respectable manner and you start me up.

He was still playing as recently as October 2019. I’m sure they aided his sound electronically but he could still play. Amazing for someone his age.

The way I heard it was there was a second drummer playing most of the actual beats but I can't verify that so you may be right. Regardless, he was a great drummer who had an incredible career, RIP.

So he died on a ruby Tuesday, huh? RIP.

in all serious, surprised he was the first of them the go. Wood had severe lung cancer several years back (iirc, he got radiation only instead of chemo because he didn't want to lose his hair, but he survived -- maybe that's a hint about cancer treatments that work and those that don't?) and Richards has had one foot in the grave for like 30 years.
