no risk with potential for high reward. if any of them can be remotely productive in limited minutes, that combined with name recognition can make them a valuable midseason trade piece. or they can be a decent depth piece. if they dont work out, simply cut them and nothing really lost. not like they would get more than a vet min contract.

Damn didn't realize Ellis hasn't played a game since 2016-17.

Stephenson is only 30-31????
I thought dude was like 40 already. Hard to imagine any of them making the Mavs, let alone be impactful somehow. Maybe stranger things have happened before. But I’d still consider it a major shock if any of them makes the team and plays well enough to do anything of note.

Why’d you guys keep digging up these threads from 2015?
Oh wait, it’s news?

Monta back would be a fun thing.
Stephenson don't have it in him to troll Lebron like he did or I'd be rooting for him.
Isiah Thomas already did his part in exposing the league when he was an MVP candidate. :lol

He just signed a supermax and Cuban would rather die than trade him. He can demand all he wants, he’s not going anywhere.
I hate Cuban’s incompetence more than anyone, but Luka chose to take the bag, so I don’t wanna hear him complaining.

Sorry, Cuban isn’t a soyboy beta cuck like Fertitta, he won’t play ball with this player empowerment crap.
:lmao djohn
what is it with Houston fans? why is it they are more obsessed with seeing Dallas fail, than Houston succeed? like literally almost every person from Houston I've come across is this way, they are beyond obsessed with trashing everything Dallas, instead of enjoying and appreciating houston. and if they ever bother to say something they love about Houston, it's only something like "Houston is so great because they have this and DALLAS DOESNT LOLOLOLOLOLILILZOMGZOMG!!!!!!!1!!!11"

Sounds like a personal problem to me. Mav fans are delusional in thinking Cuban WONT trade Luka if he demands it. Because the media will put pressure on Dallas. His agent will. Other teams will talk shit as “anonymous sources” to try and force Dallas into a trade.

Only a few owners have allowed themselves to get cucked like that. Those franchises are all run either by incompetent soy boys (Houston, OKC, Cleveland) or owners that just don’t care (New Orleans).
Based Cuban won’t be cucked. If Luka leaves Dallas it will be via free agency.

San Antonio, a franchise that has won for decades had their star player quit and fake an injury to force a trade. Again, your theory is bullshit. First of all and let’s get it clear. Cuban is a shitty ass owner. Wasting first round picks on fucking Porzingis and Hardaway. Surrounding Dirk with Shit and now surrounding Luka with shit. Second, nobody plays in Dallas by choice. Luka got his max and will be out in 2 years max.
And if I remember correctly, Cuban allowed himself to get cucked and embarrassed with Rondo literally quitting in. A playoff series :lol

hate to say it, but i see where that slanty-eyed g00k djohn is coming from tbh
even when we have prime HOF-level players like Dirk and now Doncic, it's always the same song different verse every FA offseason for the last 15 years or so....the 'what if' offseason masturbation in June/July only to sign C-level "veteran savvy" journeymen as the marquis FA acquisition per par etc. dont see it changing anytime soon imho

Probably not changing, I just disagree that if Luka demands a trade that Cuban will accommodate it to the detriment of the franchise, the way that teams like Houston and New Orleans traded their superstars. The tide is already starting to turn on players just getting their way no matter what they want. Ben Simmons will be a good litmus test, hopefully Morey either tells Rich Paul to piss off, or he trades Simmons to a garbage team like Sacramento.

Also, Cuban got Porzingis. It hasn’t worked out as well as it should, but KP at the time of the trade was considered a superstar in the making. That should have been the move to make Dallas title contenders. Next season we’ll see if he will live up to that, since Rick won’t be around to park him in a corner like he’s Ryan Anderson.

IMO, KP should have been moved. There seems to be no chemistry between he and the Franchise. You don't piss off the Franchise.

The chemistry is there, it was just rarely utilized. I don’t know if Rick or Haralabos was calling the plays, but usually they either put KP in the corner while Luka ran the offense, or they tried to post up KP which just isn’t a good idea. They rarely ran plays where KP screened for Luka or did anything besides sit in the corner.
When they could run in transition, or improvise on a busted play, Luka and KP would make plays together fairly regularly. It may still not work out, but so far I say coaching incompetence is more responsible than lack of chemistry between them.

Foreign players tend to stick with their original teams longer than the brothers, so I don’t see Luka going anywhere anytime soon

yeah Carlisle's wet dream of an offensive lineup is having an athletic black center who can finish at the rim in the pick and roll, and park his white players in the corner like they're Keith Van Horn imo
