He was on the Spurs radar last season, but the Spurs wouldn't guarantee that they'd select him in the first round so he pulled out.

Now it looks like he's a lottery selection.

I'd be very surprised if the Logo tipped his hat on something like that, especially so far ahead of the draft when every GM still has plenty of time to scout Diaw. If West really said something like that he's either really lost it or is just trying to spread disinformation.

The Spurs braintrust (Pop/RC/Schuler) seem to come up with new ones every year. I think that there are only a handfull of teams with the international scouting department on par with SA's...maybe Sacto and Dallas.

Actually, I think The Spurs Dominon (http://pub97.ezboard.com/fspursdominionfrm1?page=2) has a better International scouting track record than 80% of teams in the NBA. :p
