Seeing as how the holiday season is upon us, and there is no way to get full reviews on the holiday games what do you think were the best Games of 2005?

Here are mine

My 2 of the year were released pretty early

Had a great story and slipped under the radar, it was a little on the short side, and not as immersive as Bioware's first hit, KOTOR.

Hands down the best game of 2005 badass graphics, badass story arch, badass villians. It was released on the Gamecube so not many people played it as they should have. But it was just a badass game.If you have a Gamecube and don't have this you are stupid.

I've been so out of the video game loop. One of the last games I got was last christmas, i think, it was MegaMan X7.
The music was tight.

On PC I've been playing CoD 2, if its not the best pc game I've played this year I don't know what else is.

For PS2, it's kind of a little known game but NBA 06 has really impressed me, NBA Life Volume 1 (the story mode) is great for a sports game, kind of reminds me of an rpg. The mini games are fun when friends are over, online is great as well. IMO it's the best all around sports game on the PS2 right now.

Myself, cant wait for Halo 3. And the movie summer 2007.

The storyline is great, the characters are great, the movie will be a blockbuster record. You heard it here first!

I think Halo is the most overrated game of all time. It's just a freakin shooter game. What makes it so much more special than any of the other shooting games out there? I've played it and can't tell one difference except online capability.

I would have NEVER thought vashner liked army games, rofl

the lamest thing of all about halo is every fucking person who has it wants to play it all the time and then they gloat like no other about how bad ass they are at it...

When in fact it actually has one of the easiest learning curves ever....once you learn how to aim and shoot without losing control you are just as good as everyone else...or better yet, once you're able to find that stupid sword thing, you can dominate even more

I LOVE Halo, L-O-V-E Halo, but yeah, the learning curve is too easy. The sword is too powerful, and I hate when the noobs get the sword and the rockets. Then they think they are badass. They are just fucking noobs. Anf I'm not a big fan of snipers, esp. the ones that go to places you shouldn't be able to go to.

I'm alright with the snipers, as long as they're legal snipers and not the annoying cheating kind. Thats one of the main reasons I want to cancel my Xbox Live subscription. Maybe the 360 crowd will be better with the supposedly new feedback system.

This is a game you'd never think twice about buying or renting, but trust me, it is a GREAT game. One of the best I've ever played.

It's a lot like GTA in that you have Missions but you can also roam around and fight/kill whoever.

What makes it different is that all you do is street fight (you can pick up weapons like bottles, wood, bricks, garbage cans, etc) aggressively as opposed to mostly shooting people and killing them. Also, you can't drive but you can steal car radios.

Halo is a lot more fun with a huge group of people, especially all in the same house. When you can throw a bag of chips for someone for sniping you from the other base, thats the best. Thats actually what I did this past Thanksgiving holiday :elephant ... hung out with family and friends and played Halo 2 fragfests, NBA2K street ball, and alot of Tony Hawk AW.

Now with the controllers being wireless, I don't have to worry about my family getting drunk :drunk and tripping over wires while we have a shootout on Halo.
