The Ooga Booga Chimpout Philosophy - A Deep Dive

Just saw OBJ sign with the Rams. Sounds like he complained and got his way into a better situation. With this becoming more common, will we see more players go for the “Ooga Booga” Chimpout method when they’re stuck on bad teams in order to get released?

we see time and time again (Kawhi, AD, Antonio Brown, etc) good players get rewarded by going to championship teams whenever they decide to be a distraction to the team and get released. Derek Fisher mastered this art a long time ago. Will this just become commonplace?

NFL has followed in the NBA's shoes and become centered on the players instead of teams. Name on the back of the jersey instead of the front.

Fantasy sports has also fueled an American sports audience that defends the player at all costs, on & off the field.

I am intrigued to see how the Sixers/Simmons fiasco plays alot. Hope they make an example of him.

It's the standard way to get out of a losing team and force their way on to a winner. Luckily, most people do see through the jungle antics of the players. .... Except the media and front office folks of course.
