Not in the least. The Angels have Ohtani and Trout and still can’t make the playoffs because they don’t actually address their most important needs and don’t develop players. If you are not developing your prospects and trading them all away, it’s not going to matter. And no you can’t buy your way out of an 100 loss season. It would make more sense if you finished 81-81. And I can’t think of a better mentor for Jack Leiter than Kershaw (if it happens). And young guys coming in without the pressure of being the face of the franchise is a good thing.

No radio, no TV, no Spur's Talk till just before midnight when I'll access that final score someplace thru my cell phone. I tried that last night accessing the D'Backs 98.7 Internet site and was heart broken to discover they was livin' still.

We got a veteran manager maybe top 10 all time at the helm. The Rangers are all in no matter what. I don't know much about the Diamondbacks, but Philly has some serious star power so I "fear" them a little more. This is our "third time's a charm." Rangers gotta win it all. We can't be remembered as the Buffalo Bills of the MLB.
