Hmmm... the Worriers, of course, are coming off that BIG win against the Suns just less than 24 hours ago. I'm sure that for them, that was an emotional win. For Steph and company, this could be a trap game for them. Again, the Spurs need to come out and punch these guys in the mouth and attempt to play all around good ball as they have been doing lately. It will be tough, but they have a puncher's chance! It will be interesting to see if by chance, if Steph or any other player may sit out tonight's game for load management reasons. If nothing else, hoping that the youngins will come out and play tough and competitively. GSG!!!

Im gonna take a wild guess here...

Pop saw how the suns beat the warriors earlier in the week by having ayton run to the front of the rim and burning the warriors over and over...

he also saw how bridges and crowder and others defended curry...

Im gonna take a wild stab and say pop won't even try either?

I really hate Kelenna Azubuike. He's one of the Warrior's announcers. I met him a few years ago at the all-star game in Charlotte. He's a real arrogant POS in person. So every time I hear a Warrior game it brings back my memory of meeting him in person.

They are definitely gunning for 67-73 wins. They are the most frustrating team to play against in NBA history in the sense I have never seen a team comeback so many times from 20 point deficits to win games. The Warriors during the Curry era probably have an NBA record for most comeback wins from 20 points or more to win games.

They care about every game; most teams get down by 15 and mail it in. The Suns got down by 10, didn't have Booker and was on a back-to-back, and mailed it in at the end. It's easy to see why the Warriors run away in a lot of games.

Steph in Warriors losses:

vs. Memphis - misses last seven shots in 4th Q and OT
vs. Charlotte - misses last four shots
vs. Phoenix - Shoots 4-21
vs. San Antonio - Shoots 7-28, including 2-9 (1-6 threes) in the fourth Q.

Steph has to go ICE COLD for them to lose.

Spurs have won four in a row.

I'd be happy if my expectations fail and we wind up with a top draft pick. However, I've said it before, this team needs to figure a way to gather some pieces for a legit top tier alpha via trade. We've all been following our young guns and have all over-hyped them in some, not always unrealistic way. I still think we can become dominate if we play our cards right.

Lonnie played the perfect role tonight. Come in, change the pace of the game, and just be electrifying. Now if only he could do that every game.

The unsung hero here is Poeltl. The Warriors couldn’t get anything easy near the rim and that shit doesn’t show up on the box score. The Spurs badly need to get a backup C who can do half of what he does. Or if he ever is injured, the Spurs are fucked. Real depth is needed at that position because he’s a major cog in the system.

I loved the poise on defense in the 4th quarter when the shots weren't going in. Even though they were not scoring it took the Warriors almost the entire quarter to catch the Spurs on the scoreboard (9 point deficit). They made the Warriors earn their run hard. Also credit to GSW, they tighten things out defensively.
And talking about mental hurdles when closing games, the minute the Warriors drew level (or went in front by one, can' t remember precisely) the Spurs found their shots again. A superb win for this young group.

This . Their pesky defence kept them in the game and jacob as the spurs last line of D completes it.
Pop going with Thad as first big off bench has helped .

DWhite with another good outing. Came up clutch to close the game. The play they ran when 45sec left is a perfect example of how having a different initiator to DJ can lead to DJ going to work against a scrambling d that had no time to set. Tough but easy lay up to finish by Dejounte was a thing of beauty by Dwhites set up.

Yeah, really happy they were able to win the game. I had to go to work as the games are on midmorning here, but even though they were playing great when I left, I wasn't expecting a sure fire win as I thought the Warriors would make a run and get it close. But he needs to dunk and stop taking pussy layups... That says a lot about his personality... He doesn't go for the kill when he can... Many times he opts for the passive route... The major problem with the team early in the season was a lack of closing out games. They didn't know how to do it. The game gets harder, the court thicker, the hoop smaller, and in previous years it was either DDR, Gay, or Mills who were taking those shots. It looks like they're starting to figure out how to close. Defense will keep them in games, their newfound knowledge will help win more of them.

Unfortunately I don't think there's really anything to inject some Dawg into a player if they just aren't.
You try "toughness" and hope they respond and even go so far as to corner him and see what kind of animal comes out, but usually we are who we are.

He started the game like 1/15 so...he was obviously off. Murray and White did a good job hounding him, but he also just missed some shots he normally makes...even if those are like 30 footers. Even with good defense, you don't ever expect him to shoot that poorly.
