Quite the comeback you had after going 0-4. Although I'm not sure the Rams were "holding off Arizona".
Anyhoo...2-4 record on the money lines. Not really great.

It's a rough start. But it's just a start. I'm looking to be above .500 after this week.

Pack by 10+

The last time they met in the playoffs, the Niners won with Jimmy G only throwing 6 passes.

The fact is the run defense is and has always been the Packers' Achilles' heel. Should have lost them that Cleveland game if stupid Baker didn't try to play hero at the end. On offense the 49ers have the right front four (assuming Bosa plays) to give GB's offensive line fits and mostly stuff the run.

The Niners were at their very worst when they met in week 3 this season, and they still practically won the game, completely dominating the second half... it took a miracle two-play drive to get in FG range. If Kyle J. the fullback stops short at the 1 instead of scoring, the Niners win the game and the Cowboys have the playoff bye instead of the Fudge Faggots.

I expect us to jump the Packers early. We've played 2 straight tough games while Packers have been coasting.

But can we stop Rodgers comeback this time around?

Their only chance is to hope Bosa/Warner are good to go Saturday and Rodgers' toe injury is still a thing. Also for Jimmy Crap to not shit the bed again (not counting on it).

If you can run the ball and grind the clock, against the Packers who cannot stop the run to save their lives... then yes, you can.

And cold weather favors the run game, not the passing game. Packers can't stop the run. It's a beautiful combination for the Niners.

Tennessee was clearly not the best or second best team in the AFC. I think the same could be said about the NFC. They just got fluky luck on tiebreakers.

You can blame that on the NFL for screwing the pooch by scheduling too many premier games too early in the season. For example, KC just weren't themselves until the midway point in the season in November.

The problem was the NFL scheduling too many marquee games (DAL-TB, TB-LA, BUF-KC, KC-TEN, BUF-TEN to name a few) way too early in the season. The later half of the season is supposed to be the better half, but this year there were a ton of weeks later in the season that were just .....boring.

no conclusive evidence of when it touched the ground in relation to his securing possession

I agree that it seemed like the ground helped him make the catch, but the camera always finally showed the ball touching the ground after he already had possession, so there isn't clear evidence to overturn it.

Cincinnati has the statistically 3rd worst offensive line in the NFL. Teams like Tampa and GB, yeah they have great QBs but they also have great OLs. You can argue Mahomes and especially Burrow are actually better than Brady and Rodgers because of their lack of an even decent offensive line. KC's has gotten better this year but Cincinnati's is downright awful.

Alabama's offensive line is probably better than the Bengals'

:lmao fluky luck on tiebreakers?? again what are you talking about? the only tiebreaker was against KC. they beat them solidly. it's not their fault that KC wasn't playing well early. even though I think KC is better, they can only blame themselves for not having focus early in the season and losing that #1 seed. titans earned their spot by playing hard and focused all year.

well an offensive line is one of the most important aspects of the team, right? so if their line sucks, sounds like a major team weakness. not sure what your point is, sounds like your saying "the Bengals are a better team, but if they lose, it's because they aren't"

Tannehill with now 3 INTs including a terrible one when the team was driving to potentially win the game with a FG. QB is the most important position by a country mile. OL is important for sure, but a team can never win a Super Bowl with a bum like Trannyhill tbh.

His throws were off even on completions.
When the conditions deteriorated, it got worse.
Then he played it safe and took sacks.
He had trouble getting it in stride to any receiver. Shorter throws to RBs were even bad.

He's scared to throw interceptions so he'd rather take a sack or throw it away and punt because he feels that any INTs will tarnish his beloved legacy.

Burrow eating 9 sacks and still throwing for over 300 and winning the game on the last second FG reminds me of that time Eli Manning beat the 49ers in the championship game in overtime and threw for nearly 400 despite suffering 8 sacks from that ferocious 49ers D-line. 2011 NFC Championship game. Eli was epic that game. Joe Burrow was epic today.
Victor Cruz signature performance. Against a solid 49ers secondary at the time.

Aaron Rodgers will be a Niner next season. And they will be damn good. Mark my words.

Rodgers would never coexist with Shanny

And player wise he would bring drama into that locker room. They love winning with a flawed but ego-less QB. That could change with another SB loss but I think they would rather try with Trey than turn it into the Rodgers Show, after 2 Conference Title runs (maybe another SB appearance).

Pretty amazing coaching jobs by Harbaugh and Shanny to maximize their teams potential with limited QBs.

Reminds me of Joe Gibbs

Man this Packer loss has that crippling feeling to it, trying to find other games like it and this is what I have so far:

-Vikings upsetting epic niners team in 87
-Jags upset Elway in 96
-Gary Anderson choking away the Vikings 15-1 season in 98
-Bucs beating Philly and cold weather demons in 2002
-Colts shitting the bed in 2005 against Pittsburgh (best ever Colts team imo)
-Chargers 14-2 season going down the shitter in a 4th quarter collapse against NE in 2006

I'm sure there's some obvious recent ones I'm forgetting, but all of these losses had to make the overwhelming favorites cringe more than your average loss

patriots losing their perfect season to a vastly inferior NYG, 15-1 defending champion packers going one and done against vastly inferior NYG, patriots losing in super bowl to inferior NYG again... Peyton's Broncos getting stunned by flawed old Baltimore team, Peyton's Broncos losing like 45-8 against Seattle in the Super Bowl despite record setting offense, and recently, Lamar Jackson's 14-2 hyyyyyyype Ravens squad losing at home to inferior Tennessee despite the #1 seed and bye tbh

meh, I don’t really agree with “all” of those and/or they feel different to me. I’ll give you the 2012 Mile High Miracle and the 2011 Packers. The ones I listed were foregone conclusions that they’d make the SB or at least had more talent than any of their opponents.

The NE SB is the greatest upset of all time but they were <2 minutes from perfection and it took some crazy plays to make that happen. Broncos got stomped in the SB but they made it there…

The Lamar team was fool’s gold from the start, and most everybody picked the Chiefs to beat them in the AFCCG anyways had they advanced. Sure the Titans game was an upset, but they were a completely different team from when they benched Mariota halfway through the year, and they just knocked off the defending champs the round before.

The ones I listed were obvious favorites to represent their conference, if not outright win the SB

I’d add the 93 Oilers as well. They had several great teams in the early 90s that were loaded to the gills with offensive talent. They had major choke jobs against Cincy, Denver, and Buffalo in consecutive playoff years, and in 1993 they finished the year on an 11 game winning streak and the #1 seed. They were heavy favorites against the Chiefs but lost to old man Montana and Marcus Allen

Certain losses are so nauseating that they can cause you to impose a sports media blackout for several weeks or even months. Music City Forward Lateral did that for me, so did Game 4 of the 2008 NBA Finals, 2002 BCS fraud, etc
