Isn't this the same app that failed to detect the exact form of fraud the USG originally adopted for? (namely, PPP loans)
lol having to use a third party gatekeeper with a Montenegro domain name to file your US taxes.

It's for fraud prevention. I heard the rule only applies to the takers not the makers.

If you overpaid you're not really a taker, you're just getting a refund.
Wouldn't think Turbotax would have that issue with all the checks they do now. Accountants can figure it out :lol

Last year was a straight up fiasco. I filed the first possible date at the beginning of February but didn't get my refund until the last Friday in May before Memorial Day. I hope they've fixed that shit for this year.

i just submitting mine for filing today, though IRS wont be processing returns till feb of this year. getting a nice refund, in large part because i didnt get any of the child tax credit payments during the year, so getting it all in a lump sum
didnt have to go through id.me or anything like that
