Olowokandi could be gone by Christmas

) Pssst: If it's possible to make a deal, look for the Timberwolves' Michael Olowokandi, who has been at his career best, to be gone by Christmas. Minnesota has been talking with Boston and Portland about a trade for the center. The Wolves are seeking scoring, and other players could be part of a package.
) The University of Minnesota football team isn't expected to learn its bowl fate until Dec. 4, when it will be determined whether Ohio State gets into the Bowl Championship Series.
If the Buckeyes don't get in, Minnesota, as the seventh-place Big Ten Conference finisher, would seem doomed to the Motor City Bowl on Dec. 26 in Detroit against a Mid-American Conference team. Otherwise, the Sun and Music City bowls remain possibilities. If it's the Sun Bowl, UCLA would seem a likely opponent.
