:pop: Lonnie, you are dangerously sabotaging my tank team. You better sit this one out tonight!

Won't catch the game, but hoping for a hard-fought L like last game. If they keep up that pace, it won't take long until it settles that the playoffs are out of reach, and the team can really "focus" on not winning games, lol. Need me a top pick, baby.

This team loss to the Hornets by 16 earlier this year fully healthy and Lamelo didn’t play. Oh and Gordon Hayward dropped 41 as well :rollin

This could be a win with Hayward out. And breaking the records against the Lakers would be nice

Happy to see Primo actually looking for his shot instead of always looking to dump off the ball to the first person he sees.

I'm going to say something off-color and I mean every word:

I love gay people, so I generally don't use the word "faggot," but what other word is there for the way Jakob hoops?

God it pisses me off so much. Dunk the fucking ball you're like six-foot-fucking-twelve-inches tall!

Keldon keeping the spurs in front midway in rhe third. The hustle on offense is relentless. His threes and drives have bern on target .

Really liked Primo’s game tonight.

You’d love him to take a few more shots when he gets in the paint but he’s getting there.
Defensive improvements from the start of the season are evident. :tu

Doug with the half hearted pretend rotation on that blow by from Martin. Easy layup. Spurs need to get a proper big wing who can play the 4 and actually play some defense and rebound. Doug is pitiful in both areas and it’s a bigger negative than his 3 point shooting is positive.

james evans
03-05-2022, 09:14 PM
We have horrible defense. The players on the perimeter stand straight up on defense. Defense is quite easy. You get low and move your feet. We do none of that and the fact that we lack a shot blocker or rim intimidator, it's like a layup line in the paint. We don't really have a great ball handler either. Murray and Primo are good, but they don't have those Tim Hardaway, Penny, Zeke type of hands to constantly create separation. At one point this quarter when the Hornets started to press, everyone was playing hot potato with the ball.

Good to see Primo start showing some small signs.

I don't know what this team's problem is, but they lack the will to try on both sides of the ball and it's off-putting. Imagine having to literally beg all but one guy on a pro basketball team to shoot with some kind of confidence.

I am quite bored of their passing up open shots, failing to find the guy with the hot hand, fumbling rebounds off each other and over to the other team, missing shots at the rim because of awkward finesse layups, double-teaming nobodies and leaving star players open from 3, it's the same goofy stuff every game.

SpurSpike
03-05-2022, 09:40 PM
The problem is that we have a good team but they are a young team. They are a good core group that need another year or 2 of seasoning and a good power forward to be competitive.

lefty20
03-05-2022, 09:55 PM
Losing close games is textbook "growing pains" part of having a young team. It'd be nice if a couple of our guys can take that next step and start turning some of these into Ws next year.

GAustex
03-05-2022, 10:34 PM
Other than Keldon and maybe Primo the entire team is physically weak. They get pushed around in every scrum. And Keldon is kind short for what they ask of him.

DDR spread completely infected this roster with his anti-clutch gene before his exit.

this team is beyond fucking abyssmal in the final minutes of every game. They are absolutely immune of winning close games and making pressure shots.

Just give us to more wins, get it over with, then shit the bed the rest of the season.......is that too much for the fans to ask? Apparently so

I wonder if there is a site tracking this because the opposing team consistently scores on us and finds the most absurd and improbable way to keep us from scoring at the end of the first half

and who is coming out this year that's a game changing player? Off the top of your head, I guarantee you can't name 3 players.

The good news is that Lebron scored 56 tonight. We play them on monday and he's going to be tired. If popovich doesn't run them off the floor, he's fucking clueless.

Yes he is....he spread his disease, got traded, and found a cure......unfortunately, the selfish bastard won't share this cure with any of his former teammates.

It's depressing seeing them not be able to get pop the record against teams like Sac n Charlotte after beating some of best teams in league early in season. It's like they regressed. They can't afford to have one guy have an off night...they need guys like dv, Doug, keldon, to be consistent and not have these sub 30% games

Well it depends what Spurs objective going forward. If tanking, Spurs don’t really want to help Sac tank with a win. I guess Spurs can try to win against better teams that would not affect their chances of getting higher picks.

They compete, young players get the experience, they get the L. I think that’s the objective.

This game was lost when the team let the Hornets score 8 points in 55 seconds to close out the quarter. Turnovers, fouls, etc. and the Hornets didn't even have to use offensive firepower.
And we lost at the foul line as well.
