Not this year bro, we are in TANK mode. We want Chet or Jabari. Depending on how the ping pong balls fall.

The real season used to not even start until March, or after March. Now the season is essentially over by March. I’d take 2024 for a SPAM comeback.

I miss the days of our guys coasting to 40 or so wins, and then “flipping the switch” and crushing in those last 20-25 games.

If they get the right power forward in the draft they’ll be back contending for the division again

Yeah, but there weren't that many of *those* types of years as people on ST give them credit for. Really only 2003, 2007, and 2014, plus the lockout-shortened seasons of 1999 and 2012 (even though the latter didn't end in a title).

You also had the years like 2001, 2006 and 2011 where we were conference frontrunners all year but faded down the stretch and showed that we were completely out of gas come playoff time. Oh yeah and throw in Timmy's last year, 2016, where we would have been the #1 seed that year in any other year. Same story... regular season frontrunners, faded down the stretch, shat the bed in the playoffs.

Let's hope. That would be pretty sweet. I was picturing Jaren Jackson Jr. in a Spurs uniform when we played Memphis. Certainly a weak spot in the current roster.
