If you watch Will screaming and cursing after the slap it becomes even more magnified. This was bigger than the 2017 screwup.

As a kid and a teenager during the 90's he was my favorite actor. As I became an adult I started to lose respect for him and around 2010 was no longer a fan of his. I always thought his relationship with Jada was weird.

Slightly unrelated, but if what Regina Hall did to those actors by objectifying them and overtly groping two of them was done by a male actor/host, he’d have been “canceled” immediately and the entire social mediaverse would have been calling for his head, or both heads. I mean, she legit fondled Brolin and Momoa.

Equality for women... except when it comes to sexual harassment, because it’s ok for women to be pervy.

I mean it wasn't good. But I don't think there's going to be a lot of, "well, look what happens when...". At least not among the people that decide the Oscars. I'm sure some redneck is sitting at home rubbing his palms but for the most part, I don't see Smith's blackness being much of an issue.

No one is losing much face here in the long run. Will and Jada are already all over the news in a negative light. Chris Rock is irrelevant now. They all took one for the team to give their annual "look at me at the most important event in existence!" some new life to keep it from dying in the public eye. Oh and didn't Will win an Oscar on the very night he might get disciplined for? What a coincidence.

But hey, enjoy the show if you like it. I like movies too...but Ill stick to ones that don't pretend to be real.

Also good on Chris Rock for becoming a life long punch line now all for Will Smith benefit.

What does Will Smith gain from this other that potentially losing fans, having studios doubting to hire him for future projects and getting everyone to talk about how crazy he is instead of the Oscar he just won?

We are in the social media era, if this thing was staged it would be known by now.

The love made him do it excuses are ridiculous.

Jada’s eyeroll should have been the story, Will totally fucked that up. If the eyeroll had been the last reaction to the joke, we’d be seeing it everywhere, all the women would be calling Jada brave, she and Will would be in front of the mics telling how they have spent the last 2 days in prayer and meditation trying to understand it all and everyone would be hating Chris, and he’d be the one apologizing. But no.

Will seriously had that look that made me think he’d been either been drinking scotch all day or eating mushrooms. But whichever, he’ll go to rehab for substance abuse, apologize to everyone and eventually be welcomed back.

I disagree with that. For any normal worker, slapping another employee would be on your permanent record and good luck getting back to where you were. But if you're an actor or athlete...no big deal. Take a couple of years off and everyone forgets for the most part. And the reality is that it's not even necessary. There's plenty of Mel Gibsons and Will Smiths that can do the same job.

Kinda feel bad for Chris Rock, the guy seemed genuinely shocked and confused during certain moments throughout the show.

Making fun of you or your wife under normal circumstances is one thing. This isn't a normal circumstance. The Academy hires comedians to tell jokes and roast their peers. That is expected, especially if you're nominated for an award and sitting in the front row. The Academy set a bad precedent by not addressing it right then and there. They may as well stop hiring comics to host (killing any entertainment value) and have the event die off as the pointless, self-congratulatory, circle-jerk fest that it really is.

Other people maybe can sing like Taylor Swift, but other people don’t have the songwriting talent, business savvy, ability to promote and market themselves, and connect to their fans the way Taylor Swift can. So no, they don’t have Taylor’s talent.

You're obviously not going to be convinced otherwise. Not saying that Swift et al. don't have talent. I'm saying that talent isn't as exclusive you seem to think it is. You can talk about her marketing and songwriting but I'll say that once you get to the level where you don't have to have a real job, then you have all the time in the world to work on song writing, instrument playing...whatever. And you surely can't say that a pop star's success is based on talent alone. If you're not reasonably good looking, you don't have a chance. Is that talent? When's the last time you saw a butt ugly pop star?

In a different, private setting... I'd agree 100%. This was not. I'm not saying Will needs to be stripped of his award or be arrested or any of that shit. But if you or I had walked up on stage at a comedy club and slapped the comedian because he hurt our feelings, at the very least a couple of burly guys would've tossed us out. mono : "mommy...Will Smith is awesome. right"
mono's mom : "yes honey...of course he is"
momo : sniff "can you make me a peanut butter honey sammich?"

That sandwich is way too healthy for that obese lard of shit. He probably cries for MickeyD's constantly. I pity his poor mother.

Yeah...but they replaced Coach with Woody Harrelson and it was funnier.

I don't know if it was funnier, but I don't know if anyone else could have made the transition as seamlessly. Coach definitely wasn't as one dimensional a character.

Yeah I liked Coach. Some of the best episodes were with him in it.

Hell...stick Ice Cube in MIB and it'd be fine.

Except for chasing a cephlapod down on foot.

Any other actor (or wannabe actor) could have done the movies Will did. There's a reason they didn't. Jamie Foxx has his own level of fame, it doesn't rival Will Smith's fame. Anyone could have done any of the movies anyone else has done. The large majority of these other people would have been really bad investments by the producers. Many of these films were written with Will Smith in mind.

It’s money saving time for movie companies regarding good ol Willy.

It’s good to see the Campbell Soup kids can still find work. In all seriousness though, I’m not sure why people find her funny.

They did her a favor by vetoing that joke. I'm all for Alec Baldwin jokes but that's just bad, and not in a "so bad it's funny" way.

She literally is the joke! That heffer ain't shit as a "comedian" and pushing those fat sacks up as high as she can won't make her a sex symbol. That bitch is disgusting and not funny in the least.
