There are a lot of really good point guards out there, but Murray is still firmly 2nd in trip-dubs on the season so he is doing something right.

I'd still put Steph, Morant, Luka, and Trae ahead of him. Lillard as well, but he's been hurt...probably forgetting some.

Either way, DJ is in the conversation and that's pretty cool.

Curry, Trae, Lillard, Doncic, Paul, Morant. And a couple more that could be argued above him.

He isn't top 5, but that doesn't mean his improvement isn't anything short of spectacular. I seriously never thought he could develop this way. Props to him. He just needs to up his scoring efficiency a notch and he will trully become a bonafide 1st option.

I thought about Paul, but I think Murray has been more impressive.

I know CP3 is the "Point God" but he is at 15/4.5/11. But yes, his suns team is running away in the Western Conference so it's hard to argue with his influence there.

Murray is 21/8/9...I'd say he is ahead in stats but obviously doesn't have the wins to back it up.

If Murray could develop that killer instinct like Paul has in the 4th quarter then yeah...I'd say he is top 5.

Do Rockets fans enjoy watching that kind of basketball? Haven't seen such a horrible chuckfest (only exceptions: Sengun pass and Green dunk) in quite a while.

The Rockets are 4-6 in their last 10 and they’re better without Wood. Make no mistake—while they’re playing a bastardized version of basketball, they are still competitive.

Primo may not yet be converting on (all) these plays yet, but his understanding of where his shots will come, when to attack in the Offense is already at a very high level.

Nothing against Lonnie but the team is moving the ball more expediently at times w/o him in the lineup…

Agree, but in fairness to Lonnie he’s also providing some of what Derrick White did for stretches. Hes got a ways to go of course, but his patience and decision making going to the hoop are really good already.

I'd say winning despite a differential of -39 points from deep means the Spurs were way better in any other aspect of the game, so I'd see it as a good W. Amazing how a horrible team can stay in the game just by chucking on and on.

in 69 years as player, coach, spectator, season ticket holder and fan, I've never seen anything quite like that last shot that would've tied the game in the way it went in and out and around the basket. Ought to be on some kind of NBA viral hall of fame.

I knew it was pretty wild but not that rare, damn. I was at the game next to the tunnel where the Spurs left. That place was pretty loud considering how empty it was (maybe 1/3 full at that point, a lot of fans left when it was 118-111 Spurs). They might have been piping in noise.

They were in the game the entire time though. They were never out of it even when Spurs offense was clicking because they were hot from deep despite being garbage in every other facet. Spurs offense went to shit in the 4th but Houston was never out of the game to begin with

Rockets were +39 from three. Only reason it was even close imo

At this point the Spurs may as well play to win. Knocking LA out of the play-in, when the Lakers don’t even own a first round pick, would make it even more sweet. Knocking NO out, no big deal. But LA? Might just make my season.

He has but he's playing through it - his defense is very good, probably the best perimeter defender on the team the last 10 games and he generally takes good shots, which is why Pop keeps trusting him. Shots will start falling for him.

Statistically Primo is one of the team's worst performers. You certainly can get glimpses of his talent, and I'm glad he's getting this valuable experience, but I'm hopeful we see some good progress in the maturation process next year.

Giving him lots of rope considering how young and inexperienced he is. Murray's game has evolved significantly as he's matured. Hopefully Primo can follow that trajectory.

Well he is the youngest player in the NBA so dumb shit is bound to happen. You can tell by his interviews that he is a smart guy, he will learn to improve on his decision making. Primo seems humble and confident that's not something you can easily teach.

They hit 20 threes. They have an off night, it's a big blow out. If Spurs had a good night from down town, it's a blow out. They had 39 more points from 3 and 2 more fts. Teams don't usually lose with those stats.
