No Dejounte again against Kat and #7 seeded Wolves. Kat has torched the Spurs this year, and it’s going to be a payback. It’s crazy to say, but the Spurs are feeling good about themselves and feeling their fate is in their hands, and actually plays well when sync together. Spurs by 5pts. :flag::flag::flag:

I wouldn't be surprised if the Spurs are highly competetive with this one.

Have they specified whether it is COVID related?
Because when I hear "upper respiratory illness"...that sounds COVID related. Or bronchitis or pneumonia, neither of which are much better for an athlete.
If he just had a simple cold or flu, he'd be back by now.

So Dejounteis actually injured? I missed what happened? Honestly, I assumed they were resting him.

Unless the Spurs really are planning to tank the last 3 games.
Though I would have expected Poeltl to have developed a mysterious malady in that case, so maybe not.

When he missed the first game, they stressed that it was NOT covid related.

Hard-fought loss would be ideal, and it's already looking like it'll be a chippy game.
I'm loving what Vassell has been doing the last few games. I was a doubter and still am, but he's definitely trending in the right direction offensively. Especially his driving and finishing at the rim, he's cutting more and looking for those opportunities in ways that he wasn't at the start of the season. Good to see.

Most teams are going with a midrange shooting PF should the Spurs get back to get a PF that will beat up the paint with all the shooters that they have now?

It's because they've jacked so many of them, they're often open, and they get the misses.

DV shooting lights out passed up an open three just then to take a tougher three of the dribble.. Need to keep shooting when open.
Wolves are generating good looks with minimal impact from KAT.
Spurs struggling to get stops.

Excellent game thus far. Spurs staying close and making it competitive whilst gearing up for a loss. Great outing by Vassell, Keldon now picking up steam, hopefully he doesn't lose the streak.
Tre has been a revelation the past few games. Hopefully he doesn't lose this mojo once DJ comes back and he's relegated to the bench again, 'cause the Spurs can really use his presence as he is right now.

The PatBev effect tbh. They weren't like this before he came along. Of course, they've also tasted success for the first time in a long while this season, so it's only natural that they feel a bit puff-chested. Definitely not a likeable team overall though.
That Edwards staredown on Tre was fucking weird, too. He ran the floor afterwards and almost hacked Tre on the back with a violent "strip attempt". Weird energy from the guy, although you can't deny his talent.

He apparently means the desperate efforts, late in the game, to get Edwards to 50 points. It only ended up looking stupid, and if the Spurs had suddenly gotten hot in the last two minutes it might have cost the Pups the win.

Get the guys some run and try to keep some rhythm going into the play-in, but we absolutely don't need any more wins until then (and I won't be too beat up if we don't advance, either)
