The justices ruled 8-1 in favor of President Joe Biden's administration, reversing a lower court's ruling that a 1972 decision by Congress to exclude Puerto Rico from the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program violated a U.S. Constitution requirement that laws apply equally to everyone.

Puerto Rico doesn't pay federal income taxes, not sure why people are surprised that they can be excluded from federal benefits.

Christ-a-mighty, if Thomas kicks off we're in a world of fuckin' hurt. The old man did, OR, should have begged him to retire when he was President. We'd be set now for the next 20 years. Instead we've got one foot on a banana peel and the other on a wet floor. Roberts is waiting like a vulture to get his ass back in power, only this time unlike last time he'll pull no punches, nor make any pretense...column left!!!
