I expect more highs and lows than with Jimmy. This is a Super Bowl roster. Arguably League best at multiple positions like - OT, TE, FB, LB. But both Rams games within the first 8 of the season is tough for Trey. I don't see us winning division.

Welp. Not much positivity to take away from today's game. Weather played a part with inconsistent rain fall.

- rushing attack (52 yards from Deebo)

Troy's performance was average considering the weather. Fans hoping Trey would light the League on fire, yah that's not happening but talk of switching to Jimmy also is misguided.

Mitchel injured and was seen post game in a large cast but no crutches.

Bad loss considering how inept Broncos looked on Offense. But ultimately we weren't much better. Both offenses scored 1 TD. Denver stayed committed to the ground rushing 27 times (not counting Wilson) while the 49ers seemed to abandon the run not attempting any after 11:54 in the 4th Quarter. We did a quality job spreading the pass around hitting 7 different receivers. When Trent went down with injury the Oline struggled and I believe the safety occurred on the very next play.

We made too many mistakes (safety, INT, fumble, fumble) on the Road. Defense bailed us out, I am impressed with the secondary this season. I didn't like how our LBs dropped into coverage allowing Wilson to scramble for numerous 1st Downs.

Jimmy supposedly didn't have a playbook til recently and took 1st Team snaps for the first time in 9 months. Following shoulder surgery.

Fan base is having a meltdown but I always predicted a 4-4 start to the season. It's a very tough schedule so strap in fun UP and DOWN season ahead.

This MNF against Rams isn't must win. But if we hope to Win our division we need to split against them.

Another dominating division victory. Defense is putting up historic numbers and the team as a whole still has some major pieces missing to injury.

Big plays on both sides of the ball was the main story here while Rams looked slow and stagnant in comparison. Defensive line had Stafford pressured all evening with 7 total sacks and forced him into 2 turnovers.

49ers now hit the road to face the Panthers/Falcons. Surely should return home to face the Chiefs sitting well @ 4-2

We would essentially lock up the Division with a Win @ Seattle. We won't move up to the 2nd seed or drop to the 4th seed.

What do you mean? Aiyuk put up 1,000 yards and 8 touchdowns this year. He’s a pretty solid #2 receiver. Samuel/Aiyuk/Kittle/CMC is arguably the most complete group of pass catchers left in the playoffs with the Eagles maybe having a slight edge.

Think he meant behind Aiyuk since Deebo is used more as an RB. Regardless, the Niners have fully embraced positionless skill players ala :lol today's NBA where Deebo/CMC/Kittle/Aiyuk/Juszczyk can play just about any role.

They trade him 100%. Try to recoup some draft picks since they traded three firsts to move up for him. Literally by far the most retarded decision this regime has ever done.
QBs are injury prone under Kyle though. I agree Trey (or Purdy) are traded but considering Trey is coming off major injury and is rather green to begin with I think he likely finishes the upcoming season a 49er. Have little to lose and lots to gain by keeping both on board for 1 more season.

Possibly the most head scratching championship level game I've ever watched [2001 NFCCG comes to mind]. Except for penalties (many of which were questionable at best) the game was statistically close. Especially considering the final score. We watched the game and saw the injuries. So I'll focus on stuff the team had control over.

Eagles - 3.8

Demarco drew up a successful gameplan and the players executed. Have to tip our hat to the few successful times Eagles completed 4th Down even if atleast one was blown call. Our own uncharacteristic penalties committed prolonged a number of drives for Philly. Ultimately the Eagles only had 1 drive in this game where they overwhelmed us.

Offensively the running game was a success. Difficult to comment more given the circumstances. I will say - TE blocking a great pass rusher bit us in the ass yet again. All these QB injuries this season and even last year (both Jimmy & Trey) should force Kyle to reevaluate how he protects the position. At times he is straight wreckless.

Kyle not challenging the Smith 1-handed drop - hopefully this teaches Kyle a lil bout urgency and how games at this level can turn sideways at an instance. Insult to injury (no pun intended) I think we finished the 1st Half with all our timeouts.

Aggressive with backup Johnson to end the 1st Half - I've been wrong before but I immediately questioned. Felt we were more than fortunate to go into the locker room even. Within 2 minutes we were down 7-21. But ultimately this would have just prolonged the inevitable.

Because we didn't create any turnovers. No way you defeat a top seed with your backup QB while losing the turnover margin. No one expected Josh Johnson to lead us to glory but damn he single handily shit the bed then was off the field :lol

As a fan these type of losses are easier to move on from than late collapses. But I think it might be different for Players. Many of these guys are left wondering what if and how did they truly measure up to the Eagles. We will never know.

I give the Eagles props they deserved the Win although not at all at such a point margin. They wanted to pressure the QB and convert 1st Downs on the ground. Mission accomplished. I feel Hurts left alot to be desired. Except for the dropped Smith pass, did he complete anything past 10, 15 yards? The Eagles were there for the taking...

That's fair. He makes mistakes that are covered up by the 49ers talent level. I do forsee a Top10 season for him though. He has natural limitations with his arm but he has alot of College experience under his belt and excelled for a mid tier program which is a good sign.

Did 49ers Fail Trey?
So few career starts considering Covid and then he fell to injury twice ending his season. 49ers entered last season as Trey the opening day starter. Maybe playbook was no longer catering to him in 2023 but 49ers allowed him to showcase and yet again he disappointed (preseason).

General takeaways:
- Pregame scuffle. Early 10-0 lead then seemed we checked out from Cleveland. Once injuries started piling up it seemed we didn't want to be there. Browns are fiesty fuckers. I'd hate them in my Division.

- We struggled to find answers once our main weapons left the game. No surprise the formula to beating Kyle teams is slowing the running game. Common story in NFL but we struggle against strong Defensive Lines.

- Yet Purdy still drove us for GW 40-yarder. Poor performance by a number of players but the Rookie kicker is biggest concern considering he's unproven. It's still just 1 poor game from him.


If you watched the game, ya the Gibson penalty probably seals the game. But it was highly penalized game and old fashioned dog fight. Elijah Mitchel struggled? Getting fed up with him.

I like the confidence and sense of invisibility we currently have knowing we've never lost with a healthy Brock, Mc, Deebo and Trent but we can drop 1 of the remaining 3. Health is priority #1.

Likely we enter the final week vs Rams with nothing to play for but our winning streak over them. They are peaking as well and we should avoid a wrestling match with them.

My butt still sore from the Christmas evening butt kicking. I tried to watch as much as possible right in the thick of Christmas dinner. First Loss with this full squad. Sloppy 1st Half like Super Bowls usually are. Ravens dominated the 3rd Quarter to cruise to victory. No major injuries suffered although Trent will be shelved until possibly the Playoffs.


I imagine the game film must have resulted in head scratching. McCaffrey rushes for over 100 yards and yet Purdy tosses 4 INTs.

Defense
The Defensive Line. Wilks is a CB by trait and he treats the Dline as the foundation not the Star. It's always basic rush and not even stunts.

This is major concern. Packers attacked us with Tosses expecting the over pursuit. We were badly out schemed.


Offense
Offensively I'll give Kyle pass since his early commitment to Deebo meant he wanted Deebo to be a centerpiece. We kinda baby Deebo in the regular season to save him for the NFC Playoffs.

I don't know the extent of his injury. Assuming from what I've seen that in a bigger game he would be available - massive gamble by Kyle that paid off. He now wins trust from the locker room.


Similiar to the Ravens game, we came out pass first. Long story short Purdy again wasn't good enough. But Kyle knows we won't win by holding his hand.

Oh and special teams. Yet the play of the game might have been Moody's FG to start the 4th Quarter

He wasn't prepared to step in the 2nd Half of a SB. Wilks isn't innovative enough to draw up a gameplan on the fly. Because of our lack of depth at LB and heavy reliance on the 2 LBs, Greenlaw was Top 4 defender we couldn't lose mid game.

Assignments can change according to how the Defense lines up and how the play develops. He probably panicked, he's a backup

All he had to do was fall infront of Chiefs best defender and Ayuik is wide open in the back of the end zone because their corner fell down.

I'm not thrilled Wilks is gone, it wasn't the main reason we came up short. But I'm happy it was done quickly. Media went bonkers. No players went to bat for him.

Kyle might need to bring in an OC or Co-HC. There might be too much on his plate. We made mistakes all postseason.


Roster wise I feel confident. Draft OL & LB. We went into the SB with 2 linebackers. Everything that went terribly wrong I voiced to my best bro that bet hundreds. And I'm not super insight. In a classic game those holes will likely rear their head. Hufanga is back should balance out the loss of aggressive Greenlaw. Kinlaw & Chase. All about the money. Kinlaw I'd like to bring back.


Deebo. Bad postseason. 2nd straight subpar season. But his cap hit isn't do-able til after next season. We should transition with Purdy to tall WRs that can run the route tree. If you saw our postgame offensive stats before the game you would have thought we got blown out. Kittle blew his shoulder in that fumble highlight i'm sure you've seen. He is paid okay for a RT as he's played haha.

Tough to guage NFL schedules with so much parity. We probably won't have the #1 seed this time around.

More cap space is great news for a team coming off OT loss. We will only lose DL depth.

DC hiring seems to be heading towards in house hire. Some of the bigger names avaliable are not compatible with the system we run. Same with Wilks and it might have been too much to overcome.

I expect us to trade a bit down in the draft and get a Week1 starter. Over the last 6 SBs, we probably had the weakest Offensive Lines of all teams considered.

Gentlemen,

We were busy in Free Agency. We focused on Defensive veterans and will draft Offense. Makes sense Kyle should be expected to coach them up.


We focused alot on Dline and this yearly upsets fans. 49ers recipe for success is strong Dline. We stop the run and focus on 2nd down & 8+. In NFL the opponent does run play 9/10 in that scenario.

Big point here: strong Dline ensures our Offense isn't playing from behind and its rested. Our Dline is the key to our success. And it dominates NFC regular season & playoffs.
