mouse, I guess you can stop with the Mighty Might Mavs Championship talk, Hell you can't even get past the Bucks WITHOUT REDD! , and yet you want to be the 2006 NBA Champions?

Face it! This team is nowhere near Playoff material. So before you talk bad about the San Antonio Spurs look at your own team, It's in very serious trouble.

Let's not forget that the Mavs cut Doug Christie for what appears to be a career-threatening injury, too. And I believe he was signed for defense.

If Bogut can stop fouling and stay on the court for 35MPG, he gon' be good :D

Reasons for the mavs struggles.
1. Dirk is in a shooting slump
2. Howard is hurt
3. 4th game in 5 nights
4. The bucks took this game like it was a playoff game.
5. The refs did not give the mavs the fair shake tonight. All these things going against Dallas a loss is not a surprise.

Despite the Spurs slowish start in terms of the way they are playing, they are still 1st in the West with a very good 11-3 record.

I guess 3-11 would be playoff material if you think 11-3 isn't?

themanrules got mouse banned from this forum, But if he was here I am sure he would ask "Don't you want to beat the Mavs this season, before you start talking about championships?"

Devin Harris appeared to have left TJ Ford wide open on that last 3 tonight on the replay.

Bogut had a sweet block on Terry at the end though, broken nose and all.

Reason for the Mavs loss:

1. Not the better team on this night.

Now go get ready for the other 68 games still left to play in a long season.

Maverick fans don't mind losing to other teams, as long as they kick the Spurs ass each time they meet, I would be very worried about Thursday's game if I was Spurs fan.

When dirk is on there is nothing the defender can do to slow him down. He misses shots he usually makes.

oh thats right, i 4got that when dirk is 'off' it has nothing to do with the opposing defense........silly me

i guess Kobe is just 'off' when he plays the Spurs and its never Bowen's defense that puts him 'off' :rolleyes

It also depends on how much the refs allow defenders bang up Dirk during the game. He doesn't get the superstar treatment that he deserves.

yeah 5 of 22 attemps is unacceptable. thank God Tim only had 7 or more attemps tonight, made 18 :lol

2. Howard is hurt
Howard WHO? is he a Kobe Bryant or A Dwyne Wade or a LeBron? No jokes pls.

3. 4th game in 5 nights
Spurs had a the best road record in 2003 playing back-to-back games.
Won in double OT in 2005 yr vs. LA Clippers-i think it was back-to back too!
2003
BTW, 2003 & 2005 the yr the Spurs won championships. Coincedence. Feel the pressure!

4. The bucks took this game like it was a playoff game.
ohh, the Mavs's beloved coach AJ ONLY take games vs. Spurs seriously like it's a playoff game? Come on..

5. The refs did not give the mavs the fair shake tonight. All these things going against Dallas a loss is not a surpriseadmit it the reason was this : BUGOT :lmao

Yeah, those lousy refs are giving the breaks to rookies over all-stars every chance they get. :rolleyes

So Dirk had a lousy game tonight, and the Bucks were the better team for the night. Last Friday, the Spurs got outrebounded and outshot by the Bulls and lost that one. Sometimes you just get beaten -- it's a long season, and it happens.

Making excuses and blaming the refs are for teams that aren't good enough to win on their own. If you're the Hornets, you need every break you can get, and you understandably get pissed when you don't get them. If the Mavs are really ready to make a run deep into the playoffs again, then they're responsible for dealing with whatever happens and making their own luck. On the nights when they don't, suck it up and take it like a man.

Did anyone else see Dirk trying to act Mr. Big Shit by yelling at Devin Harris?

you have to drive to the rim to get foul calls. you can't expect foul calls shooting jump shots.

Dirk took 2 shots inside the paint, yet he still went to the line 7 times.

Taunting the Mavs when Josh Howard is out is ridiculous.

You better hope the Spurs win on Thursday or this thread is going to look incredibly stupid.
