11. Kind of a weird list. And somehow San Antonio gets two entries. Does the average American even know what the Riverwalk even is?

I had to look up Road to Hana.

Seems like Mount Rushmore should be in there instead of River Walk.
Maybe Niagara Falls instead of Mall of America.

Edit...I missed that they had NF on there.

Damn...Mt. Rushmore was on there also.

River Walk and Lake Tahoe are definitely the weakest entries on this list, unless you’re just obsessed with seeing where Fredo Corleone took one in the back of the skull.

They should have done it by cities. I mean basically if you're gonna visit DC for the tour, you can cross at least three off the list.

Lol there's at least 5-6 I have no desire to ever go to. Who the hell wants to make a trip just for the Hollywood sign or Mall of America?

x2. If you’ve ever been to NYC or DC, you’re knocking out a lot of those. I went with my kid for their eighth grade trip to DC/NYC/Philadelphia. So cleared a lot if that in seven days.

They could have put the Smithsonian and the Lincoln Memorial in there over the Washington Monument.

I wouldn't make a special trip to go back to these but if I was in NO or SA, I would probably end up at the French Quarter or Riverwalk again at some point.

The biggest travesty is not having the Smithsonian on there.

I'm more of a tourist trap type, and the Fall's Clifton Hill had a shitload of 'em.

American side is so built up and ugly but yeah Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side is nice.

Kind of surprised they didn't mention Beartooth Highway, that's an amazing drive.

The Liberty Bell is pretty weak also. In Philly, I'd put Independence Hall way ahead of just looking at the bell. Even seeing the Rocky Statue and then running up the stairs of the PMOA.

It's not there because its valued the same, it's there because it ups the average to 5 if someone has been to the alamo they've been to the riverwalk

Casinos and skiing are fun. Good fishing and boating in the warmer months. Beautiful scenery.

Space needle, Rushmore and Chicago River are more shit tier than Tahoe.

That's one reason why some of the list makes no sense. Why wouldn't you count Golden Gate if you've been to Alcatraz? You can see the bridge from the island. Unless they specifically mean driving across it.

Shit, didn't see the rest listed on there since I didn't go to the Twitter page. Been to 18 or 19 of them.

Some of the listed places are retarded/irrelevant. Whose gonna hike up to the Hollywood sign when there's a million better things to do?

Fair point. I thought almost all of those "popular" LA sites were shit in particular, so I guess you are right.

Same with the Washington Monument. If you go to DC, you're going to see it. Going up in it (or the Statue of Liberty or the Empire State Building) is a beating. There's a ton of more impactful things to see in DC. Almost any of the war memorials, the 911 memorial/museum, etc.

Of course, locals don't care for tourist attractions too much. I've been to all the cities where these are located, but haven't made it a plan to visit any. I do try to visit zoos and botanical gardens, but I've never been to NASA (didn't see that there) and didn't go to SA just to visit the Riverwalk. Maybe a specific restuarant there if I was in town, but not the river itself. I'd rather be in SPI or Big Shell fishing for snook or sharks than visiting any of these places.

America is a huge country with tons of major cities, it’s not like there’s 3 cities worth seeing and a giant wasteland occupying the entire middle of the country.

There are some that I would specifically go to see (or understand why someone would):
Grand Canyon
Walt Disney World
Las Vegas Strip
Everglades
French Quarter (if you're going to NO, this is where you're probably going)
Yosemite

For sure. I was just going by the list. If I had the money and didn’t have to work, the natural places would all be at the top of the list.
