Definitely not the next Taylor Jenkins or Will Hardy. Our two draft picks forced to stand around while coach showcased players who will be in Slovenia next year. I can't blame him wholly for the team being clueless on defense too often, including an awful transition when two Hawks appeared under the basket and none of the four guys back picked them up. The playcalling down the stretch was atrocious. Some of that was Blake. But a play where the big has to thread the needle on a bounce pass with no other options is hideous.

I think the reason they leaned more heavily on the guys without contracts is because they used this last game to evaluate who they want on the Austin roster. Still, Mitch's playcalling was pretty terrible. There's probably no risk of other teams poaching him anytime soon.

Let's hope everyone is healthy and out of protocols for preseason.

Mitch Johnson...the tank commander we need and deserve...as long as he is making decision on the sideline I feel pretty good about our chances at the number 1 pick

I hate ball hogs

I do not think I will be a fan of wesley

had he passed the ball to branham in the closing minutes of the game- it would have resulted in a win - but i just knew that everytime down the floor he would go heroball and fucking miss

Teenagers playing teenage ball. The opposite of "the beautiful game". It is expected and good for tanking so I hope the youngsters will play a lot during the regular season. Maybe Sochan will give us some bad wins by playing good D, I don't know.

Similar to a young Parker, if he can develop like Parker it will be great. Able to get to rim readily, need to learn the play set and pass more, learn to finish and shoot.

^ I think it is time to retire the Parker, Manu, Tim comparisons.

We'll be the best worst team in the league.

We'll be the best worst team in the league. My worry is that Danny Ainge looks like he may have something to say about that... a la Victor W

People really need to stop hoping or worrying about skinny French man. It's literally a 14% chance to get him for the three worst teams in the league. Even the sixth worst gets a 9% chance, which is only a 1/20 chance worse.

Just ignore Wembanyama.

As long as we stay in top 3 I am a happy camper

Wait so 14% minus 9% is 1/20? Your moniker makes sense now…. 4th grade math teacher yeah?

1/20 is 5%. In a per cent (100/100), 14/100 - 9/100 is 5/100. That's 1/20.

I think Branham is going through the same thing he did at Ohio State where he takes his time to fit into the mold of the team around him. He averaged 6.7 shots per game in his first 10 games at Ohio State and then averaged 11.5 per game the rest of the season. I think his aggressiveness will come around once it becomes clear that the team needs another presence as a scorer.

Yes, Branham will catch up to Wesley. I think all three picks are A+

GG Jackson at #2 would be a great pick as well. So just increase the odds as much as you can

Yeah I read that article he would definitely be a top 3 pick to me right now barring injury:

1. Wemban
2/3. Henderson & Jackson

Those 3 players are definitely franchise players and I would be Happy as Hell to get either one of these guys. I am OK not getting number 1 pick but we HAVE to get a top 3 pick

If the Spurs win the play-ins, they'll have a 0% chance of getting #1 pick with their own slot. 14%-0% = only 1/7.

We draft well……..not worried where we draft! This past draft might just become EPIC!
