There have been more than two million migrant encounters at the U.S.-Mexico border in FY2022, as Border Patrol agents deal with a migrant crisis unprecedented in U.S. history and one that the Biden administration has so far failed to slow, despite its claims that the border is "secure."

Need a couple million more... they get a free ride if the come in via Texas, and free citizenship once they reach DC or New York :tu

Are they qualified to work ?
they do your job at HALF the wages you make so you will become expendable
they will work twice as hard as you
make half the money
and their work is twice as good as yours

Immigrants make for a subclass corporations don't have to pay even minimum wage and it plays to the fears of useful idiots. It's win win for our corporate overlords.

You don't need a 'cert' to fix computers, and if we're taking you as the example, clearly you don't need to speak english either...

This immigrants are bad for the economy and exist to drive down wages is a right-wing trope so it's always sad when you see a leftwing person like yourself doing it. Immigrants typically do many types of jobs natives won't do even if you raise wages. And their existence boosts the economy overall.

I didn't get that from Fuzzy's comments. If anything he seemed to be saying big corps rely on them, because they can pay them less to do shit jobs Americans wont do. Seems to be inline with what you're saying.

They entered legally
Did they cross the boarder and talk to the USA boarder patrol people or did they swim across and were trying to not get caught

Then you need to switch companies. It's not like the job is to reball components, tbh

Yeah, I guess but seems like they mpostly dont work for big corporations who don't want records of obviously not checking green cards. Lots of farms, lawncare, roof workers, and constructions jobs etc. The theory was if they raised the wages natives would do the job which is a decent theory but Trump years proved in many cases people would rather be like a barista in air conditioned building for $12 an hour than pick oranges or do construction in the heat for $15 or whatever. Tons of jobs left unfilled

Could eventually mount to the size of the Reagan surge/amnesty, tbh.

Some people here might say that like it's a bad thing. I'm not sure that's true. On the whole, more young folks immigrating to the US would be great.

They work for subcontractors who work for corps like Home Depot and Owens Corning. They make these companies successful because they can sell their products and pay a go-between to not tell them they are using illegal labor to get it done.

Neither Russia or China have an immigration problem, and that has nothing to do with protecting the border nor stupid walls. Must be difficult for somebody living in a cuckshed in Yuma, AZ to understand how good the US and Europe in general have it.

Yeah, either way though the American people by a 77% margin openly acknowledge they dont want the jobs they do though, so whatever either way

Plus there is story after story of those joibs being unstaffed when the immigrants were not let in

Pretending the only value added is labor arbitrage for owners is also an artificially narrow view, in the aggregate immigrants are a net plus to the Texas economy.

The American people are tied to corporations. The lifestyle enjoyed by most Americans is buoyed, in large part, by corporate level consumerism and by the lending agencies (banks). 100 years from now history will show this era was falsely "woke" while they only shifted their bigotry from gender based identity and racial differences to immigration and nationality level "it's better than they had before" capitalization of basically slave labor. When someone works for less than even the federal government calls minimum pay, it's not much different than slave labor or indentured servitude.

So were the aggregate slaves from Africa to the Southern economies.
