After very long time Barça rallied to #1, since Madrid left some points vs Osasuna in the 7th round. Benzema missed a penalty. Still long way to go, the clásicos and games vs Atlético will define more the champion.

Barcelona made a super team, after selling everything and putting everything as collateral to loan more money. Bth, I doubt the socios will be able to keep the team long term.

The barca shop though really hammers home how commercial everything is. 80 euro for a photo where you are super imposed on the field. Messi brought in a tidal wave of teenaged fans from the other side of the World specifically Asia (India). This was my initial reaction when I joined Barca outlets. The fan base is much younger & foreign compared to Bayern.

I can only imagine that locker room. Going into the season they were busy indirectly arguing over how 4 of them will win the Ballon dOr.
