Surprised no thread on this yet.

Looks like Florida cat 4 landfall tomorrow afternoon. The good news is that it's supposed to hit at around low tide.

Holy shit that intensified a lot since I went to sleep at midnight. 155 mph now. Might end up Cat 5.

Looks like NHC is not going to officially upgrade Ian to Cat 5, at least not until next spring in post season analysis. 155 MPH extreme Cat 4 landfall it is.

Bastards will be asking for handouts from Uncle Sam.

What happened to pulling yourself up by your bootstraps and be accountable for your actions?

No, they won't and they shouldn't. Desantis should provide it from in house. The northern part of the state and Miami area should have plenty of supplies.

DeSantis bends the knee...

DeSantis Praises Biden as Florida Gov. Changes Tone Before Hurricane Ian.

"We all need to work together regardless of party lines. The Biden administration has approved our request for a pre-landfall declaration and did that very quickly. So we're thankful for that."

DeSantis said that there will be more requests for federal assistance, especially for Floridians that may have been displaced by the major storm.
