Don't shoot that 3. Take 2 steps in and calmly drain that long 2, just like you did in the Olympics. **** the 3, its just 1 point more than 2 and you can make 70% of them.

The 2 is the warm embrace of a womans bussom. The 3 is a cold empty truth of the crack rock.

Suck on the boob Manu, not on the pipe

eh i'm tired i meant to say 57% and bosom.

I'm not sure what a bussom is or if Manu really wants to embrace it...:wink

BTW, in the NBA, if he gets the ball at the three and takes two steps forward he would normally be face to face with a guy charging at him that has a 38" vertical...those open looks are because of the zones they play in international ball...

Manu is going to have to hit threes for the Spurs to win. 70%? What have you been smoking, ice?

You can say that he should take the ball to the basket more but he's not a great mid-range shooter.

The 2 is the warm embrace of a womans bussom.

I'm not going to delve into the implications of Ice's analysis because that is one of the better metaphors I've seen in this forum in quite some time.

Two feet inside the 3 is not an open shot, thats why they shoot them.

Isn't the 70% in reference to the fact that he shot a fg% of 70 across the olympics, i swear i read that somewhere correct me if I'm wrong.

Manu did his thing and played excellent ball during the olympics. He has to step up his game in the NBA though because of the more athletic competition.

70% from inside the arc in the whole Olympics.

Of course it will help if we convince all the other GMs in the league to sign a bunch of Greek and Chinese guards for him to play against.

No....................... Pop needs to let Manu play. Manu gets in the game coming off the bench and is pressured to make something happen. That is what bench players do...

Run his ass out there from the get go and he will be on the allstar team...

Maybe the beer drinking Holt should hire the Argentina coach... seems like he knows how to get the most out of talent... Pop knows how to get the most out of 4 down.

We should run more motion offense that's where Manu really shines. Manu's game is more revolved around passing, cutting, easy buckets not shooting the three. Funny thing is I hated running the motion offense all my passes would get picked off and our cuts would never work.

I see schooling you as a public service.

He shot ~71% 2-pts (1st) and around ~41% 3-pts. His FG% was ~58% (4th).

BTW, his stats were impressive in the tournament:

2nd in points total (154)
4th in points/game (19.3)
6th in assists total (26)
7th in assists/game (3.3)
3rd in fouls on total (49)
4th in fouls on/game (6.1)
6th in steals total (11)
7th in steals/game (1.4)
4th in FG% (57.6)
4th in total FGM (49)
5th in FGM/game (6.1)
1st in 2-points FG% (70.8]
6th in 2-points FGM total (34)
10th in 2-points FGM/game (4.3)
10th in 3-points FGM total (15)
9th in FT% (80.4)
2nd in total FTM (41)
3rd in FTM/game (5.1)

Funny thing is Manu didn't really do that well against Greece. I can't remember the China game. But yeah, not as easy to shoot 70% against better competetion.

But aside from that Manu did a pretty good job statistic wise, and leading his team when it mattered. Good to see.

An interesting thing I noticed when looking back at Argentina Stats back in 2002 WBC's Manu shot 64% from 2pt land, 67% from the FT line, and 11% from three :lol on 3-28 shooting.

14.1ppg 3.5apg 2.4rpg 2.1spg in 22 minutes of play per game (skewed because he played in the last game injured).

Seems like he did step up this time around. Weird thing is he got very nice reviews after those 2002 World Championships, despite playing mediocre against USA and not shooting well at all from three. His all round game did show though at the time, even against USA.

This time around though it seemed like he improved in all aspects, big time. Maybe these olympics were higher stakes? :Q

if teams are collapsing on tim duncan the mid range jumper will be open for manu.

manu needs to drive more to the hoop though...thats when he is most effective by far.

although I really do think there will be a lot more motion with this year spurs team for some odd reason.

WHEN MANU FIRST SHOT OF THE GAME IS AN EASY LAY-UP OR CLOSE JUMPER I'VE NOTICED HE'LL HAVE A GOOD SHOOTING NIGHT.

IF HIS FIRST SHOT IS A LONG JUMPER AND HE MISSES HE USUALLY HAS A BAD SHOOTING NIGHT
