Keep Dieng as the third stringer and make Bassey the backup.

Story of this dude's career. Just when he seems to be getting momentum, another injury sets him back.

Sad to hear. Hopefully it’s not serious enough to end his career. I personally thought he was one of the weaker links off the bench. Not sure if Bassey does any better, but I hope so.

I'm sorry to hear that, more so for him than for the Spurs. Apparently it's not serious and he'll be out around a month, hopefully he comes back 100%.

Unfortunate. He puts his body on the line every night. Sniffers will call him fragile/soft. Atleast it’s a small guarantee for 2023 but if inly a few months I think he earned his extension.

Yeah sucks in a contract year but that has been the biggest issue for him is staying healthy- Maybe we can keep him on a cheap contract after this season?

I'll give you a break on Collins since he's played more than I expected tbh. Need to see if this injury is a one-off or the trend continuing.

Honestly, when you look at how physical he plays and the many hits he gets fighting on the court, the guy is actually pretty solid.

Man, that sucks. Same leg he's had surgery on three times already. It doesn't sound like it's directly related to his previous injury ..... but it's also difficult to believe it's completely unrelated.

that's messed up, considering how many fractures he already had on that foot. Hope he will be back soon, he was looking really good out there and is 3rd in the NBA at shot percentage allowed at the rim. The guy needs some healthy seasons to up his game further.

When I read ‘fracture’ I assumed it was going to be months or the season.
But 2-4 weeks ? Really? Find that hard to believe.

A non displaced fracture used to be called a hairline fracture. It’s a crack.

It’s not his foot, it’s the one large bone between his ankle and knee.

I completely broke my femur in the final game of high school football. The doctors were able to pull my leg to set the bone back in place. Since nothing (ligaments, tendons, etc) actually tore, I was in a full leg cast (from the waist to covering my foot) for 4 weeks. After that, I hit the weight room to build the muscle back that atrophied and was back in time for baseball in the spring.

This allows us time to get overexcited about Bassey and then turn on him when he isn’t an All Star. Should be a good month.
Sad for this guy. Seems like he has talent that could really improve, but he is cursed with lower leg fracture issues and players that get that just never make it.
:lol comparing this motherfucker to DRob and Tim
i don't recall anyone ever doing that.

:lmao The Spurs Talk pattern on most players are underrate, then overrate, then decide he sucks, then wonder why "the incompetent front office" can't get multiple first round picks for this guy who sucks....
