Bassey and Langford both look like they understand their spots and roles much more.

It's hard to give a good grade when I really wanted Spurs to lose this game, particularly. The win resulted to a 3-way tie with HOU and CHA. That said. I know what to expect with Keldon. I'm happy for him. But I'm more excited to see Langford, Bassey getting better production. Lately there's been talk of bringing in IA to shoulder some of the scoring. Nah, let these young guys step up. Malaki I'm waiting for you. And soon Blake.
I wanted them to lose. But good game for our guys. :bobo

Good to see Bassey coming back to what we all hoped was his future role as a physical big man with some great athleticism.

HOU youth sucks pretty bad. Ya, theres talent, but Im not sure that any of them are legit impact players. Feels like a bunch of JR Smith types..

You know, I couldn't quite think on how to describe the rockets, but you hit right on the nail. Lots of talent that seems to be going in circles on the way to nowhere. Maybe next year isn't going to cut it too much longer. :spin

They obviously have talent and have shown some things…I just put them behind teams like ORL, SA, DET in terms of youth cores and how good they may be and how close they are to being ready to compete if they can land a Wemby/Scoot etc..
But they dont “suck” in the context of having no hope…just seems more questionable to me. But there is talent there - even JR Smith had immense talent. All about morphing into winning players vs just empty calories.
they needed a win; they could very well lose the next four. that rematch on the 19th could turn out to be meaningful though.

Houston needs an actual PG. And they need it bad. They also are going to suck as long as they continue to start/play KPJ. That dude is the definition of bad basketball and I think his game rubs off negatively on his teammates. I would look to trade him or cut him. Green is still young and looks like he can play. Sengun looks like he can play. Smith I have no idea about bc there's really nobody to set up his game. Rockets need to make some smart moves. But they're run by a horrible owner so I doubt that happens.
The Spurs needed this win. Not for the tank, but for my sanity. I will never as an adult get over 1995 back when I was a kid. EVER. Fuck the Rockets and Fuck Dennis Rodman.
Edit: That 1995 Spurs VHS was the best VHS

^ hahaha truuue.
I think Jabari Smith got drafted into a terrible situation that may make or break his career. The talent is there to be a damn solid role player.

A lot of AAU stud-types who may never play winning basketball. This is why Sengun looks out of place. They also have a really terrible coach (so far).

This team is ran so stupidly. So let's endure tanking but when we play a Team that's competing with the tank oh let's win that 1. So stupid, let's just hope this 1 doesn't bite us in the ass at the end of season.

I was thinking the same thing, and we still have to play the Rockets again next Monday and then twice in March.

Most it'll matter is a few percentage points. Go change your diaper.

Probably the favorites for Wembanyama because in addition to this, they'll have a bottom few record to make it look non suspicious and they're a big market with a link to an even bigger one in China.
They also have a tradition of draft luck and great big men and history has a way of repeating itself in this league.

They won tonight, and hopefully they can string some wins together.
