Good to see Malachi with a potential breakthrough game. It's largely seemed a confidence issue, a feeling that he didn't yet belong. If he stops thinking and starts playing, he can score in this league.

Definitely want to see Malaki turn a corner. It’s only one game but at least there’s now proof of what he can do. He’s a subdued personality but his game has some microwave aspect where he sees to be able to score in bunches. Hopefully Pop is yelling in his ear, “I want some nasty!” because he is going to need to get out of his shell to succeed, especially on defense.

We tend to want things as quick as possible.
Sometimes talent needs to be cultivated.

Especially talented that was drafted in lower lotto and out of of it.

I think the coaching staff will set expectations for every player, but I think for every step of the way, trying to motivate each player so they don’t play passively will always be part of the process unless I’m missing something.

Will we regret not picking Jalen Duren?

Will we regret not picking Jalen Duren?

We very well could.

Sochan will likely remain the right pick at that spot. We're somehow reacting like Sochan will never improve while Duren (and everyone else) will.

The team that may regret trading him is Charlotte, who took Mark Williams instead, and received a later first (I think) and some 2nd round picks. Williams might be good, though. Just seems to sell cheaply for Duren -- wish the Spurs could have jumped in somehow.
