Anyone know what he’s up to now?
Blair was honestly a great pick and roll player, but with focus on mostly scoring for himself. Really good at boxout and rebounds but utimately he was too short to be a positive impact defensively..and who can forget his sheningans.
Peak Dejuan could have a 40-20 game though.
Pop gave him so many chances...

I think his best was 30/19.

You’re right. His high was 28, at least 3 times. I was thinking he was close to a 30/20. Must have been 28/20.

yeah, I don’t think so. I do believe if he average 36 minutes..he’s more than capable of putting up those numbers.
very talented offensive player

He looked great his rookie year and then slowly got worse year after year. Expected with that injury I guess. Also being too short and limited offensively ruined his chance at having a career. He probably would have been great if he played a decade sooner. Good for an off the bench, energy big at best, but not someone who is a rotation player on a championship team.
He also acted like a sour bitch after he left and his shenanigans of kicking Tiago in the head helped us get ring #5, tbh. :lol

Unfortunately he also did not do a lot of the things which could have helped him extend his career, keeping his weight down would have lessen the impact on his knees and probably extended his career a year or two, spending the time to develop a credible jump shot from the 10 to 15 would have forced larger slower to cover and stop provide lanes which would have also somewhat assisted with the wear and tear on his knees, also was not great when it came to being professional as a person and as a player.

Nah, his ACL free knees were a ticking time bomb from day one. Without the stability the ACL provides, no matter what he weighed, they were eventually going to be grinding bone on bone. If he had ACLs, he probably would have been a lottery pick, not #37.

He'd have to not foul out. Can't average 36 if you foul out before 20.

Bunch of ingrates here.
Provided much needed front line muscle after CIA Popped had been overworking Timmy Duncan with inadequate F and PF support.
Pulled DeJaun from the playoffs in favor of Matty Bonner. Yeah that really went well.
Blair played about 20 minutes per game but his per minute stats were very good.
You could see a literal sense of relief from Duncan knowing he had some muscle on the front line vs priors.

You're one of the few that liked him, so I'm saying you were/are grateful.
Almost all the other posts dunked on Blair.
With no ACLs he was going to have a short career.
After his rookie year, Spurs finished 1st in the Division 3 straight times.
Started a bunch of those games.
That Blair-Bonner front court though…

He averaged 24-13 in China one year. Not sure what happened to him after that.
As bad as the Mav's frontline is, he would probably be an upgrade for us.

That Blair-Bonner front court though…
Continues to show just how good Timmy Duncan was.
I do think that stretch of continually pairing him with weak fwds (BonBon, Finley, Dick Jeff etc) took a toll on Tim.
The year Blair started virtually every game....he was subbed out in the playoffs for some infraction and replaced.

His knees were going to ensure a fairly short career for a NBA big man definitely, but the wear of 10 extra lbs on lower extremities is huge. 48,000 lbs of load per mile covered. The nba average run in a game is 2.88 miles. Lets put DeJaun on the lower end and say it was just 2 miles. I am not saying he could have been an all time great or anything but keeping at his college weight and a credible jump shot would have gotten the man another 3 year contract at about the mid-level exception. You could see it with the ice-packs on the knees, having that extra 3 years on an nba paycheck does way more for him than the years of wear and tear in the European and south American leagues earning peanuts.

I remember him having a couple of 20-20 games towards the end of his rookie season.
