Can the Bills win without the Bills Labia?
On the road vs Cinci with huge Bye implications.
I win either way as a Bills win pushes Cinci back into a tie with Baltimore.
I still have slim hopes for Action Jackson back for the playoffs to lead the inept Ravens.

Derrick Henry not expected to play against Cowboys. Jalen Hurts not expected to play vs. Saints. New Orleans still technically in the NFCS hunt, and don't have a draft pick to play for regardless. So you're telling me there's a chance.

Titans may well be eliminated tonight.
Dallas wants to keep pace with Philly.
Jags vs Texans
Should be solid tank by the Texans. :lol

To be fair the Texans played hard last week and beat the Titans. I think they’ve locked up the #1 overall pick (maybe the Bears still have a shot) already too so I bet they play hard. Mills sure will since he’s obviously playing for his career

True.
Texans guaranteed the #1 by losing out.
However, dk them well enough to know what draft player they have their eyes set on. If it's #2 or 3 then ya go ahead and try to win out.
This years draft appears to have no absolute must have #1 pick.
So ya I'm hesitant to drop large bank on the Texans losing vs Jax.

I’d have to see the line on the game. If it’s anything over -3 Jags then I would probably abstain. These dudes almost beat the Cowboys and Chiefs in b2b weeks

They definitely haven't locked up the #1 overall pick. The Bears are a half game behind and they can't tie because Houston has a tie the first game of the season. If the Bears lose out (they will) and the Texans win one, the Bears get the #1 overall pick

This is also true. None of the QBs this year are for sure blue chips. Just another class of run of the mill college offense BQBs from schools that don't translate well at the QB position to the NFL.
There's a couple really neat defenders, but it's looking like another 2013/2014 repeat where you get two drafts in a row where the QB class in underwhelming after having a string of QB heavy draft classes. I guess that's the way it goes. You can also throw 2015 into that mix based on NFL results but hindsight is 20/20 since Winston and Mariota were pretty highly regarded out of college even though they shouldn't have been.

meh Mahomes was much different than those guys tho. He was making those crazy throws off his back foot 50 yards downfield to mostly no name receivers. Also played with a historically bad defense and still got Tech bowl eligible. Much different than these other guys who are running the same read options behind stacked offensive lines and hitting wide open n1ggerfreak receivers with nobody within 15 yards. Mahomes was atleast by far the best player on his team it’s just everybody was skeptical at the time of Big 12 quarterbacks

Yeah, but, to be fair airing it out has been the only thing that's worked with Pollard out. The run blocking is putrid especially up the middle and Elliott isn't athletic enough to overcome that anymore.
Lamb and TY Hilton are keeping the offense barely afloat and leading the league in takeaways for the second straight year has kept the defense barely afloat. The team is teetering on the cliff on both sides of the ball. I fully expect them to get handed their ass in the playoffs.

Malik Davis averaged 4 yards a carry and Pollard would have probably averaged 4.5 YAC if he was playing.
Zeke is washed though. I know he's only 27 and even though RBs have a short shelf life they're usually productive until around age 29-30, but staying out all night ooga boogaing in Uptown/Deep Ellum 2-3 times a week for the last 6 years in Dallas has taken its toll on his body.
Unless he's willing to take a massive pay cut Dallas should cut him and just absorb the cap hit next year, IIRC it's still a net ~$4 million cap savings if they cut him and they can easily find a goal line compliment to Pollard for less than $4 million (likely with a mid round draft pick).

For as much sh1t as I give Cuckott I will say he seems to finally be playing aggressive and throwing the ball downfield consistently as opposed to always checking it down if nobody is wide open. Seeing a lot more throws past the sticks and into tight windows this season. Actually playing like a legit QB imo even if it is leading to more interceptions. Always said I wanted more gunslinger in him. Like last game’s 3rd and 30 bomb to Hilton would’ve been a safe 5 yd check down then punt with pre-2022 Dak. Dak in early years tried to keep his completion rate high, and interception rate low so that he could maximize his chances at pulling chicks when ooga booga-ing in Deep Ellum/Uptown after the game
The offense still lives and dies with the running game but atleast he’s now giving the offense a chance on 3rd and long

Pollard is also a UFA after this year which is a problem. Malik Davis looks like a decent scatback but not much else. He is quite quick and fast but small. If there's a big hole he's going to hit it quick and get more yards than Zeke. He's not going to break tackles or plow his way through linebackers but he can elude them enough to get positive yards if he's open. The best use for him is like a James White type deal as we saw a couple times yesterday where he would run to the shallow hole of the zone and pick up the first down by dodging defenders. Of course Pollard is elite at that and can also break tacklers and make people miss, so he was certainly missed last night.
I'd be happy with cutting Elliott in the offseason and drafting a young hungry power back or two in the mid to late rounds to replace him. Not before 3rd round though no matter what, arguably not before 4th round. That's a necessary but expendable position. I would franchise Pollard or bring him back on a long term if he isn't going to break the bank.

Agree with this post :tu
This version of Brett Favre-ian Dak is good to see. You always want a QB that can do a little everything, who gives you a chance regardless of situation, regardless of down and distance. Mike McCarthy had two of those in GB and it's good to see Dak is stepping up and playing like them and not Matt Lafleur era "only throw it if only your guy can catch it but don't risk the INT" Rodgers.
People complaining about the INTs are also the same people that complain about the check down Charlie's we've had over the years including a younger Dak. So they can't have it both ways.

After the embarrassing game against Texans, afterwards he said "I'm not going to stop being aggressive just because I threw an interception" instead of the usual canned "got to be better" response. I thought that was the right attitude, and thought that maybe he was starting to change his ways from being a checkdown All-American. Even though it's fun to troll in here, you always want a QB who has that IDGAF mentality. Who knows if he'll keep that same mentality in the playoffs, but that's why I always thought Romo was better because he'd singlehandedly give you a chance in any game (even if he'd lose you some by himself too).
With Dak, you always knew it would be checkdowns, screens, bootlegs, or short curl routes against zone. And then once garbage time came around and the pressure was off, he'd start slinging it all over the place. All you had to on third down was blitz and play man to man because you knew he'd panic and look for the tight end or running back. Always secretly hoped he'd prove me wrong and take a "Russell Wilson" type career arc since he does seem to have an IQ above "ooga booga" level like Wilson. Wilson went from only being able to throw screen passes or hit wide open receivers off of those gimmicky "pick plays" to being an MVP candidate.

Dak 100% needs to do that this playoffs or he needs to be shown the door. Last year against the Niners was an embarrassment. How many goddamn sacks did he take? Just throw the damn ball and give your playmakers a chance. Like we saw last night, the refs will throw DPI a good percentage of the time. Taking a sack to me is worse than throwing an INT (obviously, there are certain late-game situations when leading where taking a sack is the right decision, but not the very vast majority of the time) because you're quitting and not even trying vs. trying your best and maybe failing, maybe succeeding, maybe drawing a flag.

If Dak is indeed a gunslinger (oh by the way Ceedee Lamb has the most quiet 1300 yard season you'll ever see despite getting literally next to no production in the five games with Cooper Rush starting, and TY Hilton has proven to be a legit #2 despite just getting here a few weeks back) we have a chance to win the Super Bowl.
McCarthy needs to strangle Moore and give up the run and throw the ball more if we run into teams like the Niners and Eagles and the run game isn't working.

How about more just max protect with 6 OL and Zeke and your best blocking TE and send only Lamb and Hilton on routes. At some point one of those two will get open.

It's going to depend on what they actually do in the playoffs. They can only get the #7 seed. If they get that #7 seed they'll be going on the road every game and their road track record in the playoffs with Rodgers has not been good.
Who would the #2 seed be though? If it's Minnesota or Dallas I could see GB winning. In the case of Minnesota because they're frauds and GB is probably better, and in the case of Dallas just because Rodgers is the Cowboys' daddy. If it's the 49ers the Packers definitely lose big, and if it's the Eagles the Packers probably still lose.

Right, the Niners would need to lose at home to a horrible, no-QB, 4-12 Arizona for the Cowboys to get the #1 seed (along with Philly losing at home to the Giants who have nothing to play for). Very unlikely.
Also almost certain that either the Niners or Cowboys will be hosting Green Bay in the first round. Bet you can't guess which one Rodgers and the Packers organization are hoping for? :lmao

Minnesota essentially locked into the three seed even though they'll beat the tanking Bears next weekend. All 4 of Minnesota's losses have come within the NFC, and they lose the tiebreaker with every other possible team. As it should be, because they're a mediocre team that has been lucky but not good this season.

That's the way it should be.
Meaningless games for both teams go first
Then the games that are meaningful for at least one side
Then you pick a game for sunday night if there's one that's equally or at least close to equally meaningful for both sides. Can't have a one sided shitshow like the horrible SNF flex in 2020 where one side was playing to win and get in and the other side was clearly and obviously tanking for a draft pick. Better off doing it like 2017 and having no SNF game in that case if there's literally no choices.
In some years like 2016 there are mediocre choices and there are years like 2017 and 2020 where there are no good choices
I think everyone thinks that Detroit at Lambeau vs GB will be the SNF game next week but you've got to factor in that if the Seahawks win then Detroit is out and thus playing for nothing and it will be one sided. The only true win and in is Titans/Jaguars which obviously are two low profile low ceiling teams from the worst division in football but at least it's a win and in.

I don't get that reference
Stidham was good for a first outing, but they need to invest in better pass protection. He practically got killed every time he dropped back to throw. Their left tackle in particular was atrocious today.
Davante Adams was a big time hit for sure in 2022-23 and the Raiders would be stupid to ship him back off. The reason their ship sunk this year was poor coaching, poor defense and poor pass protection. Derek Carr was just fine and he was not part of the problem, but I suppose they'll scapegoat him.

Go win your conference outright then. Don't lose to the worst team in the conference (the Bears). Don't lose to lowly Denver and Struggle Wilson. Don't lose to QB-less Atlanta. Don't give up 44 at home against Mahomes. If you want a late bye you've got to earn it early. Can't play down to inferior competition early.

But as for the bad offense, that's what happens I guess when you have a bad QB situation in which your QB1 is run-first and super injury prone and regularly misses time and you have to rely on your defense week in and week out.

Daboll says Giants won't be resting starters. tbh may not be a bad idea to play the game out even if they are locked in at the 6 seed if they want to really get on a roll. They're obviously going to be a Wild Card team who will be playing all road games. And beating the current #1 seed on the road, in somewhat of a tune up game, will give them lots of momentum as opposed to just backpedaling in

Yeah agreed, that's my theory as well, and the Giants did that in the last game of the season vs the Patriots in 2007 just before the NFL went to mandatory intra-division scheduling I believe the next year. The Giants had nothing to play for, nothing to gain or lose by winning or losing as they were locked into the #5 seed, but just barely lost that game and it would propel them to that unlikely championship.

Buffalo can get much closer to the clinch tonight. Would not rely at Harbaugh - Romaine at all in final week 18 Cinci vs Baltimore:

The consensus among Cowboy fans this season has been interesting. There are plenty that think it will just be the same old, same old in the playoffs and on the other hand, you have the other half that think things will be different and that Dak has taken the 'next step'. It's practically 50/50 between the blind homers (I'm not worried about Philadelphia!) and suicidal ones like myself (first round exit here we come!)
Basically the fanbase is split down the middle with each side believing one extreme....just like pussyface described in the original "Viability of Suicide" thread imo

A Hawks W against the Rams will mean the Lions have exactly nothing riding on the game. And a Packers W would actually knock the Hawks outta the final spot.
Wasn't avoiding a scenario like this the entire reason behind not setting week 18 kickoff times until the final week?

This is the Dan Campbell Hard Knocks Lions who started 1-6 and will play their hearts out to finish with a winning record and a chance to eliminate/sweep GB, imo.

Simple. The score was 7-3 Cincinnati when that play happened, no? So do a casino style keno or ping pong ball setup with the Bengals having 70% of the ping pong balls and thus 70% chance to win. Draw ping pong ball tomorrow to determine the winner of the game.

Plus the potential negative heart side effects of the original set of two mRNA shots (pfizer/moderna) last around 12 months as the half life is diminished by over 90% over that span. Also part of why those vaccines lose effect over time. Of course the boosters could open up that window again. We don't know and we won't know for 72 more years because they classified the information on that which is scummy. Still, incidents like these have happened well before covid and the controversies surrounding it, so it's very difficult to prove any kind of causation.
