Not gonna lie...after being on Twitter last night following Damar Hamlin's injury, I lost what little hope for America's future I still had. I was utterly dumbfounded at how many people either proffered or defended the idea that his cardiac arrest was the direct result of a COVID vaccination, even in the face of a multitude of doctors that practically stated it had all the hallmarks of commotio cordis. Then you watch these nutjobs showing video "proof" of these athletes falling over "dead" (and who weren't) and a vast majority happened before COVID even hit or whom had other diagnosed injuries or situations that accounted for all the rest. Thise videos are just straight up falsehoods and lies but the gullible among us just lap that shit up.

100% this country is fucked and undoubtedly headed towards civil strife or worse. As you say, we are now through the looking glass on statements having any sort of factual underpinning. No society can exist when there's not a universal starting point with real vs BS.
