Really, looking at the standings, team tank needs to chill.
Spurs are like 1-3 games away from the bottom with the bottom 3 slots all guaranteeing the same 14%, with tons of season left to go on L-streaks, with the team's starting SG out till "a little bit after the all star break"
Gonna get more than enough opportunities for L's

Big fan of these back to back games against the same team (ideally with the same personnel taking the court too).
Sochan was handily outplayed against JJJ, looking forward to seeing how he adjusts.
Not that it needs to be stated but Desmond Bane is an absolute weapon. Wonder how close the Spurs were to taking him over Vassell? IIRC, timvp said there was some serious discussions about making him the guy back in 2020.
No knock on Vassell but would’ve been great to have both.

This way that players like Morant and SGA can hang in the air initiating contact and flailing for a foul - and getting them - needs to go away. SGA gets 30% of his points at the line. Morant is not far behind. These aren't fouls. Jumping, falling, is not a foul.

Desmond Bane has freakishly short arms. Like you can see it and notice during game action. If players are ‘long’, he’s ‘short’. If he’s 6’5”,his wingspan can’t be more than6’3”.

Per multiple sources 6'4" wingspan

Not sure if everyone gets to watch the Memphis halftime, but they had Ziaire Williams play a shooting game with a little girl on these tiny hoops. Before it started, I was curious to see if he’d purposely play bad to make it close or crush her. He murdered her so bad the commentator said “come on man” lol

Tought too but they've been playing "better" after a 3-15 start or something like that. If spurs lose (fingers crossed), they would just have 1 more win than Detroit... Confident for bottom 4 anyway.

It’s about the losses. We’re FIVE losses behind them., and they’ve played more games.

Notify Houston, Detroit, and Charlotte one of them needs to start winning cause Pop is gonna have this team finish 4th or 5th.
Detroit I'd closest to us inthe standings but they've already played 45 games to our 41. And they've already lost 33 games to our 28. They're keeping their eye on the prize.

First of all, after tonight that's 4 more losses... And precisely, Detroit have played 3 more games, dude.
If spurs lose 2 or 3 of these 3 games thay have less, that's just 2 or even 1 more losses for Detroit.
heyheymymy
01-11-2023, 09:54 PM
Yeah looks like my math was off earlier. It's more like 3-5 wins or so to get in the bottom 3 from HOU CHA and DET

Yes, which means they're losing at a faster clip than we Our best chance will be catching Charlotte, imo.. And we will undoubtedly win more down the stretch.

Not sure, spurs have gained ground over Detroit over the last few games. Again, spurs are just one victory over and 4 less under Detroit but with 3 more games for the spurs to play who have a 0.317 record so far (losing 2 out of 3 basically)
So lose 2 out of those 3 games less you have over Detroit, and you're 1 victory over and 2 losses under (1 loss if you lose 3 out of 3) a Detroit team who started 3-15 and is 9-18 since (or simething close), contrary to the spurs who started strong before collapsing.

HOU was down 10ish most game but took a 1 pt lead 95-94 or something like that only to immediately throw the ball away and then shamelessly allow an alley oop on the other end. The alley oop was so poorly defended I thought there was a stoppage in play for a sec.

Even if we lose all remaining games, it is likely Houston still remain as the worst team in the West.
