List of policy priorities from the house GOP so far to address inflation:

- A bill "expressing" disapproval of attacks on pro-life groups and facilities
- establishing a subcommittee on the "weaponization of government"
- Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act (a solution for a non-existent problem)
- defunding the IRS (even though increasing tax revenue is almost always something that lowers inflation)
- Repealing the income tax, abolishing the IRS, and replacing both with a 30% sales tax (:lmao campaigning on lowering the cost of goods and then wanting to increase the cost of living by 30%)

Imagine a federal tax increase on gasoline, guns, ammunition, vehicles, beer/liquor, and pornography of 30%?

MAGAtards would commit mass suicide.

Another stupid economic idea by the republicans that would make people immensely poorer but I'm sure their stupid constituency would eat it up during an election. Cletus "I don't have to pay income Tax anymore that's great now I can become a millionaire."

Just eyes on the neighborhood and vibes here, residential rents don't seem to be flattening out.

I dunno, Austin seems to be a special case. I don't think anything here will flatten out anytime soon. Might be leaving in 24, it's hard to justify living in the city anymore. I love my neighborhood but may move into the burbs to have more room.

I love my neighborhood but may move into the burbs to have more room.I've honestly just lucked out on friendly, nongreedy landlords, for decades, while being occasionally willing to live in areas generally considered less desirable. If the high cost of living in Austin drives me out, I might investigate the 969 corridor out toward Webberville.

Which suburbs appeal to you?

I have a great deal where I am, I only pay $1200/mo for a 2/1 in Wooten. My lady and I may move in together next year, and we would need a lot more space than the 800sf i have atm. I have friends that live in Pflugerville, so maybe there.
