The tank might be going into concentrate-mode.
Time to out-tank the Rockets without letting the children play like a bunch of mindless idiots.
Maybe...

Actually starting to have Sochan's durability. He is out quite a number of games this season already. His development keeps getting stall every time he starts to put things together.

Injury update: Tre and Langford are out. Keldon seems to be available.
Langford appears to be literally made out of glass.

Kori wrote the game preview a day early. If any of you listen to her gambling views I’ll be your full time bookie. Holler at me in the DM. Spurstalk discounts for a hundy or more on my lines on spread, ML.

Wesley came to play today. He looked good in the 4q against the sixers as well.

AND impacted the game in any way other than being a high usage scorer. Can’t pass, can’t rebound and can’t guard a single position.

It looks like the Bulls are having trouble putting the Spurs away tonight. They couldn't build on that 11-point lead earlier.

This would be a good time for the Bulls to go on a run.

Blake Wesley is absolute dogshit. Wild, erratic, undersized, selfish. Thank goodness he’s gotten some quality minutes.

What an embarrassing 4th, even for this team :lol

It's amazing that after looking great for most of the summer league and intriguing to start the season that Blake looks so bad right now. Absolutely sucks the fun out of any game he's in. Hopefully he'll continue to recover from his injury and get back, but he almost can't be out there in garbage time, because the other developing guys can't get decent possessions.

That 4th was hard to watch, even by 2022-23 Tank SZN standards.
What does Andre Drummond have against the Spurs? Daaaaaaayum.
PS: In a fanfic dream world scenario where Bassey balls out after the trade deadline and we land Wemby, I’d love Drummond as a backup to newly appointed center of the future, Bassey.
Reality is more like Mo Bamba being backed up by Zack Collins

Yup. And sorry to keep harping on this, but...
Spurs now own the league worst in these defensive categories:
Point differential --> -10.0 pts (next closest -7.9 pts)
Points per game --> 122.6 pts (next closest 119.7 pts)
Defensive Rating --> 120.4 PG (next closest 118.0 PG)
Since the last time I posted this, we've gotten worse in all 3 categories.
And please don't tell me it's cause we're tanking. So is Detroit, Houston, etc.
And for evidence of how poor we are playing defensively: In the Western Conference, there are currently only 4 teams with a negative point differential: SA, Houston, LAL, and GS. We are 2.1 pts worse than Houston; 8.7 pts worse than LAL; and 9.8 pts worse than GS.
Point being, we aren't even in the same stratosphere as almost every other NBA team in how bad we've been defensively.
There are bigger problems than a Wembanyama is going to fix.

A few sniffers on this board were very confident we would be a top defensive team this year.

That's the best way to tank tbh. Let the guys try to have fun on offense and get their stats then ignore defense. And I'm talking about Pop here, not sure he cares one bit about defense this year.

Disagree. The effort is there on D. The result isn’t. That is a talent problem. Keldon and Vassell won’t magically turn into impactful defenders with the addition of Wemby or any other unicorn.

Random meaningless observations from watching the YouTube game summary:
Drummond had about 87 dunks.
Dragic’s gray hair makes him look like a senior citizen.
Keldon probably gained back his weight from last year.
Branham is so quiet when he plays. A silent assassin. I have no idea how much he scored. 10? 15? 25?
Chicago is a case study in how not to rebuild.

At least Pop got another hug in... this dude is all about the selfies now. He spends more time post game trying to get a hug in from each coach and each former player. Go away already.

And has the BBIQ of a third string middle school player. Whenever he gets behind in his scoring he simply reverts to Keldon the Big Body Bull and doesn't see anyone on the court but himself going to the basket.
