It's been brought out a zillion times, this does not affect chances for #1 Wemby.
Still Nba best 14%, same as Rockets and Pistons.

We are channeling all thoughts towards the Spurs will get Wemby.

A return to Duncan like ways are coming.

I'm fine with losing the coin flip as long as we win in the lottery

If Houston gets Victor, it'll just be Yao again. He'll have a few seasons, break down, the Rox will be back to sucking again.

I’m happy with a top three pick. Disappointed for anything below that.

The Spurs second round pick will still be a better nba player than there’s

Obviously we’re praying for a top 2 pick for Wemby or Scoot but if we don’t grab either Taylor Hendricks or Anthony Black tbh

The problem with Yao was that the Chinese government forced him to play international competitions for patriotic glory every summer, robbing him of much needed rest and recuperation. If he took the summers off I’m sure he could’ve lasted another three or four seasons and much healthier.

So this means a higher 2nd ed pick than Houston right? And hopefully we win the lottery to beat them in the 1st round as well.

That and if two, three or four teams move down the draft (better pick), Spurs would get the worst pick. Because you can only move up the draft to the max of 4. So because the Spurs are third worse and Rockets are second worse team, then Spurs can technically get 7th pick while Rockets get 6th.

Victor might be injury prone. Go with Henderson is good also

Draft lottery matters more...

Want Wemby, will be happy if we end up with Scoot. Others... feel like there is talent, but will take time to develop

They have no better chance of that than they did before the coin flip.

The Pacers actually increased their Wemby odds from 6% to 7.5%. Houston gained nothing except a floor of pick 6 instead of pick 7. Even Chicago had a more meaningful flip win, also increasing their Wemby odds from 1.5% to 2.0%.

so many tiebreaker options and the NBA uses a fucking coin flip. I am ok with the coin flip if you have exhausted several other tiebreaker options.

I don’t think it’s actually a coin flip, but a mini version of the lottery, with even numbers of number groups assigned to each team. There was a three way tie outside of the lottery that would require a series of coin flips that would be too complicated.

Coin flips to sort a three way tie aren't that hard. Flip two coins: if you get HH then Team 1 wins, HT for Team 2, TH for Team 3, and if it comes up TT just start over. Then once you have a winning team, flip a single coin to sort the other two.

Why not just roll a die and assign each team two numbers, one roll and you get a winner, then roll again with two teams having three numbers each.
