The Spurs enter their brave new world with only two contracts that extend beyond 2024, as much as $43.5 million in salary cap space to spend, and control of as many as 15 first-round draft picks and 26 second-round selections through 2030, including unprotected Hawks first-round picks in 2025 and 2027, thanks to last summer’s Dejounte Murray deal. He's the guy that refused to give out Batum's medicals, and floated the rumor of a heart condition so that we'd have a chance to draft him. Didn't work, but he and our FO are like hand in glove. I think he hid Livio after the Nike Hoop Summit so that we could draft him. Maybe something with Mahinmi, too? I think he was also Diaw's agent.
