Malik said that even if offered one, he would not accept it, and that put the issue to rest. It is my understanding though, that the players voted Malik and Nazr each a half share of the money they got for winning the championship. Exactly how that came about, I do not know.

Malik played 50 regular season games for the Spurs in 2004-05.
Total games 50
Nazr played 23 regular season games for the Spurs in 2004-05.
Nazr player 23 playoff series games for the Spurs in 2004-05.
Total games 46
There is merit if the Spurs choose to give out a ring to Malik (and if he would accept one).
The Knicks come to San Antonio on Monday, February 27th.
