Summer League Game Thread - WEMBY'S DEBUT - Spurs/Hornets 7/7/23 @ 8PM CDT on ESPN

I know this is his first game as a Spur and they’re just trying to get a feel for where he’s at and all, but our offensive game-plan (or lack thereof) with Wemby is legit retarded tbh. As soon as he enters the game, our offense looks like shit cause the ball stops with him at the top of the key so he can iso. Needless to say, this is incredibly stupid. Quit playing him like he’s 7’4 Kobe Bryant and get his ass in the post. This is an easy adjustment tbh.

Great shooting from the FT line @ 100%. You could tell his legs were turning to rubber as the game went on and his wind wasn’t there. He’ll Learn you can’t dribble into a crowd & not get stripped of the ball. Neither he or his teammates knew what the others were doing. Lots of blocks for playing away from the basket so much.
