I certainly remember the growing pains we had with 19 year old Tony Parker when he first showed up in San Antonio. So having growing pains with Wesley isn't exactly surprising.
Then again...it's not fun either. The guy is a mess and needs a lot of work. And for every 19 year old Tony Parker that figures it out and makes the NBA (and Hall of Fame) there is an absolute slew of failed projects that never turned the corner.

I certainly don't remember Parker being this stupid.

Sidy and Blake both need to be in G League they have a lot of things they need to work on if they want to make it the NBA.
Rice played well I like his ball IQ he makes good decisions though to be honest the Piston team was terrible I want to see him against better talent before I make a judgement.

Not sure how the spurs can confidently pick up Wesley’s third year option at this point. Keep him on the roster this year. And if he improves, can always re-sign him as a RFA. But not sure why you’d guarantee next season

This is really common among Thunder fans right now. There's a Little Brother syndrome going on. They're used to being adored and obsessed over for their trove of draft picks, SGA, and their history of having Durant/Westbrook/Harden and being "full of promise." They can't stand attention being driven away from them. Very very common to hear "Chet is greater than Victor" stuff right now.
I think OKC has the best collection of young players and they can look to be a contender soon in this league. So I was just perplexed at why they are so defensive and had to pull other teams down to prop themselves up. It’s just no necessary imo.
I didn’t understand how being mentally weak will lead to an acl tear. I like Chet, I hope he turns out well and fulfills his full potential because that’s what I want to see as a basketball fan. But the fact is he was the one who had to miss his entire rookie season due to him playing in a stupid pick up game, so he has proven to be an injury risk. I’m concerned about wemby too but youd be lying if you say one is a bigger injury risk than the other just based on build alone.

TP took the PG starting job after 4 games in his first season in a contending team, averaging 9.2pts and 4.3 ass, before winning it all in his second season, eventually becoming an HOFer... Wesley couldn't really crack a tanking team rotation in his first year and may not in his second...
Absolutely nothing to do... Don't honestly even know how you can compare them... they couldn't be more different in terms of how they started their career. TP was always underrated but you could see the upside.
It feels to me some people are so desperate with Wesley that they absolutely want to make (up?) comparisons with former spurs PG who succeeded to generate some artificial hope... Wesley has nothing to do with TP nor Murray in terms of situation and upside. Not saying Blake will necesseraly fail but you can't use TP or Murray to explain that this is normal Wesley basically still suck after one season. To experience growing pains, you gotta grow.

I actually like him.
People really get hung up on announcers. I dislike Mark Jones and Hubie Brown because they are morons. Don't be a moron is my bar. Jefferson is just above moron status.

I feel like you didn't actually read my comment. You're just mouthing off based on what you assume I said.
My point is that young players take time to develop. I referenced TP as an example. But I in not way said that Wesley would be like TP. In fact, I said that TP was the outlier and there was an "absolute slew of failed projects that never turned the corner."
