Only because ESPN and the like brainwashed them into thinking it's uncool to play for ol' San Antone. Yet for some weird facked up reason, in every other major sport it's all of a sudden cool/ok to play for all the piss-bred, dirt road trailer towns. (See: College teams and so forth, or Green Bay in NFL for example).
