Not happy with this FG nonsense for the 9ers last two drives.

Especially the latter with 2nd and 3 and they try 2 passing plays.

Even if Diggs is healthy, this seems like a classic game that Dallas loses or barely escapes despite being huge favorites. Anytime they have an impressive run of games, they always get big headed and sh!t the bed against a really crap team.

And they've had quite a few upsets in Arizona in hilarious fashion...walk off blocked punt in 08, giving up the 4th and long/missed extra point in 2010, Bot icing his own kicker in 2011

Anybody else notice San Fran has scored exactly 30 points in each of their games? 31 points wouldn’t be that strange, but 30 is difficult to get to with NFL scoring maths

all that said, I don't believe we lose to a bad AZ team this time. Icing the kicker game was the most iconic. But we got them back in 2017 there. The DeMarcus Lawrence god tier game where he looked like a prime Lawrence Taylor on steroids for one night.

They're both good, above average starters, but Diggs is All Pro.

I like Mukuamu but more as a strong safety type or even a free safety if we lose Malik Hooker god forbid. He's 6'4" 220 and runs a 4.4, but the height works to his disadvantage at corner.

Diggs loss is a big hit to the secondary, but they were stacked there. The position they cannot lose one is inside linebacker, they're very thin there. If someone like Vander Esch (who has an injury history) goes down, prepare to get killed in the run game

Like I mentioned before, no f*cking way am I taking Dallas as -12.5 favorites. Historically, these are the games on the road where they have big letdowns since they start feeling themselves after consecutive blowouts. Wouldn't be surprised if they've been ooga booga'ing all week in Uptown and come out completely flat in this game. The Cardinals have been competitive in both games this year, I think the Cowcucks escape this game by a FG

Chris Jones already with a sack. He's playing less than half of the snaps, yet he's putting crazy numbers. It is unreal the impact he's having.

Makes you wonder if there isn't a strategy there: reserve your star D-lineman for obvious pass situations.

The Cowboys corner with the torn knee is their best player. Any QB can just see Dallas player number 26 outside the numbers and throw that way and it's an easy completion every time.

sons, it's the same thing that happens every year. They rack up some meaningless wins in September/October, see their name near the top of the meaningless power rankings, then they go ooga booga'ing/hitting the stanky leg at Uptown/Deep Ellum and lay an egg the next week tbh imho

Yet another red zone field goal... this shitty team can't put it in the ocean... and we're still down 21-16 needing a stop, a touchdown, and another stop. Against arguably the worst roster in the NFL, in a road stadium with no home field advantage.

Millennial_Messiah
09-24-2023, 05:54 PM
:lmao quitting on the play just to look for a flag

Exactly. Lamb is way fucking better than that. If he stays the course and sticks his hands out for the catch, it's an easy TD. Real alpha WR1's don't squander those relatively easy man-to-man goal line fade type opportunities. It's obvious he has the talent to make that catch, but playing for the flag is loser mentality that is emblematic of the shitty owner's country club bitch culture.

sons , when you have a QB whose ceiling is the 4 yard curl route, you have to try and pull out all the stops to get the ball downfield. like that one playoff game a few years ago on third and long where they had to rollout the WR reverse throw with Cedrick Wilson since they don't have a QB on the roster who can convert that down and distance IMO

Yeah

Week 17 in 2019, when the Pats lost their home field advantage to Kansas City by losing at home to the 4-12 Dolphins the last game of the season. Which ultimately cost the Pats the bye and they lost in round 1 to the Titans. Definitely a horrific loss since it wasn’t flukey. Cowboys only had one TO (desperation time), there wasn’t any crazy special teams shit, and the running game was going strong.

Yet they allowed Dobbs an 80% completion percentage and gave up over 220 yds on the ground. Arizona just gave them the business wire to wire today.

Dak had plenty of time. The O-line wasn't the reason they lost.

The whole team was trash, especially McCarthy's awful redzone offense. This is typical Cowboys though. We look like we're doing something and then some team exposes us like Denver did, in both 2017 and 2021. This defense has a clear problem against the run game, Mike is scared in the red-zone and Dak still has an interception problem. Same flawed, 2nd round exit team we've seen the past 30 years. But this year they might not even make the playoffs. Fuck 2023. Let's get to 2024 already.

Honestly I feel like we might be on a 3 game losing streak. Patriots have a tough defense and can limit us. Then the 49ers are a flat out better team and will likely win the Super Bowl.

Right, but he's going full reverse Donald Trump and trying to say it's a witch hunt and he'll never back down but the problem is he's been guilty and saved by the establishment before multiple times and now it's his third strike (at least) and the Democrat establishment seems to be fed up with him this time.

NJ-03 Democrat representative Andy Kim has taken steps to challenge Menendez in the primary.

If there's one thing the Dems are best at that the GOP is absolutely atrocious at at times, it's quickly galvanizing behind one nominee early in the primary cycle and not making for a heated contested primary between say an establishment branch vs. a progressive branch, sort of like what you saw in 2022 in establishment GOP vs. MAGA GOP. But in the past 5 years or so, the Dems have become quite consistent at being team players most of the time, and it's served them well electorally from 2018 up through the 2023 Wisconsin state senate election.

However Beaner Bob is rich, and won't go down without a fight. If someone like Kim wins the primary, yes it will be likely to safe D, depending on the national environment and what metric you use for likely vs. safe (I personally prefer LTE's metric of 15+% being "safe", but most seem to use 10+% as the barometer for "safe" which I disagree with)... I do believe NJ will go for Biden by a low double digit margin, not closer to 20%, so there's that. But it's not in jeopardy.

If Beaner Bob manages to win the primary, depending on the GOP candidate the race can be anything from lean blue to pure toss up. Jack Ciattarelli, for example, almost won governor a couple years back against a solid incumbent Murphy and a 20/1 spending disadvantage. Obviously you're going to need a moderate who's fairly pro choice and somewhat similar to Lee Zeldin on the issues and messaging.

Andy Kim is a popular incumbent in a 2020 Biden+9 house seat, so if he's the next senate nominee the Dems will have to defend a fairly purple open house seat.

You're not exactly helping your case that he can win a primary this time and you clearly don't know how New Jersey primaries work.

New Jersey has what's known as the "party line" ballot, where the candidates who get endorsed by the county chair are stacked together in the leftmost column of the ballot and all the non-endorsed candidates are off to the side. It basically makes it impossible to win a primary in New Jersey without the establishment's backing since all the low IQ minorities (a significant portion of the Dem base in NJ) get confused by the ballot design and just vote party line. Info below:
https://jpia.princeton.edu/news/how-new-jersey-political-parties-rig-ballot

In 2018 he had the party line spot on every major county's primary ballot yet his no-name opponent who had no money won 37.7% of the vote. I know winning his primary 61% to 38% in 2018 might seem convincing but it's actually unbelievably pathetic as an incumbent in New Jersey backed by the every Dem county chair.

The party line ballot saved him in 2018, and this time around he's not going to have it. The Norcross family controls politics in the populous Philly suburb southern counties, Don Norcross already said Beaner Bob should resign, and they're gonna back one of their own (Kim) over Beaner Bob in a primary. As for North Jersey - the Dem County chairs in Essex, Bergen, Passaic, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean and Morris have already said Beaner Bob should resign. That leaves only Union and Hudson as the populous NYC area counties where he might still get the party line spot, and they don't have anywhere close to enough votes to make up for all the votes Beaner Bob loses everywhere else. The only people who'll vote for Beaner Bob in the primary if he's not on the ballot's party line are barely-literate Hispanics obsessed with "LA RACA!!!!" and "machismo"

However Beaner Bob is rich, and won't go down without a fight.
This isn't an argument, it's just fortune cookie stoicism. Beaner Bob has never had to run in a competitive primary in his life. He was appointed to the senate seat in 2005 and won what are essentially rigged primaries as the establishment-backed incumbent in 2006, 2012, and 2018. As I already said, his 2018 performance was unbelievably pathetic too, which demonstrates just how inexperienced and bad he is running in a competitive election. If a no name candidate with no money can win 38% of the primary vote in 2018 despite Beaner Bob having the party line spot on all the populous counties' ballots, it means he's completely fucked without the party line spot and with extremely bad bribery charges looming.

Cory Booker won by over 13% in one of the biggest red wave environments ever (2014) and Hillary Clinton won the seat by 14% in 2016. There's no rational basis for your prediction that Biden would do worse in New Jersey than the most unpopular Dem candidate since Mike Dukakis did, and Andy Kim is an overperformer. He overperformed Biden by 8-10% in 2020.

NJ in general is one of the most inelastic states in normal cycle elections. Andy Kim would win by around the same 17% margin Booker won by in 2020.

Beaner Bob could definitely lose the race if he's the candidate but your argument as to why he could is trash. Gubernatorial elections in NJ are off cycle, odd numbered year elections that almost always go to whichever party isn't in the White House because of turnout disparity (that's how Whitman won there in 1993 and 1997 + how Chris Christie won there in 2009 and 2013). The fact Gardner won in 2021 is actually bad news for the GOP's future in New Jersey and it just shows how much New Jersey's educated, high propensity suburban voters have shifted left.

Either way though, there's no rational basis for the assumption that Menendez can win. The county party bosses control New Jersey primaries, and all the important ones have already cast Menendez aside. The race would also still be lean D since it's in a presidential year and he'd get carried by the top of the ticket

Andy Kim is a popular incumbent in a 2020 Biden+9 house seat, so if he's the next senate nominee the Dems will have to defend a fairly purple open house seat.
This is where you're just making stuff up. Andy Kim's old seat was actually a Trump-won seat that Kim had to overperform in to win in 2018 and 2020, but NJ's commission made it a lot bluer in redistricting. It's now a Biden +14% seat (never was a "competitive Biden +9 seat") that even Gardner won in 2021 when the Dem turnout collapsed in the state (they intentionally used the 2021 Gubernatorial results when they drew the maps to make sure that a Dem would still win it in an awful red wave environment).

The NRCC wouldn't even spend money on the seat if it was open.

Even if Diggs is healthy, this seems like a classic game that Dallas loses or barely escapes despite being huge favorites. Anytime they have an impressive run of games, they always get big headed and sh!t the bed against a really crap team.

And they've had quite a few upsets in Arizona in hilarious fashion...walk off blocked punt in 08, giving up the 4th and long/missed extra point in 2010, Bot icing his own kicker in 2011Gracias Senor.
Unfortunately I was looking for a 3rd and final team to add to my parlay and had already picked the 49ers in the Thurs night game.

Sure, but notice how I wasn't talking about right now. I talked about the past 2 seasons, which is the reason most folks rank him as the 2nd best QB in the league (some even as the best, untill Mahomes put some sense into their skulls last season). The truth is that the unit that got the Bengals to the SB and the AFC champinship game, has always been the defense.

Who would you put above Burrow right now though (besides Patty obv)

I give the guy credit cause he’s a gamer and a winner. That 2021 run was amazing for the simple fact that he had one of the worst OL I’ve ever seen and was sacked 20 times in the postseason alone. He was a couple minutes away from winning a SB and then only a play away from getting them into FG range to tie it. A guy can only do so much when he gets sacked 9 times in the SB and takes 17 QB hits overall. Mahomes fared far worse under pressure in the 2020 SB (and no, I’m not saying Mahomes isn’t the best, just providing context).

In 2022 they got hosed with the Hamlin game and had to go on the road in a blizzard at Buffalo down 4 OL starters and he quickly put the Bills in too deep a hole. In the AFCCG the Chiefs had a very sketchy call go their way at the end that impacted the outcome of that game.

I agree his defense has helped quite a bit as well, but Joey B has been nails in his young career. There’s little doubt (aside from injury) that Cincy will be in the mix at the end of the year along with KC, Miami, and maybe Jacksonville if Lawrence can be more consistent

Burrow is so fucking overrated. I'm not saying he isn't great, but he isn't the unarguable 2nd best QB in the league after Mahomes. He's considered as such because of a SB appearance followed by an AFC championship game but, let's be honest, that success has always been because of the defense.

lol their defense has been middling at best. Burrow has been good in crunch time.

Your boy has put up better numbers (both in the regular season and the playoffs) consistently. There's this narrative that Burrow is Joe Cool, Mr. Clutch, while Allen is a choking interception machine, but in the playoffs Allen has a 17 to 4 ratio, while Burrow has a 9 to 4 one. Burrow has the same amount of interceptions in 1 less game played.

Let's be honest, the only reason Burrow is considered ahead of Allen is because Mahomes scored with 13 seconds remaining against the Bills defense, but played the worst game of his career against the Bengals in the following week.

Without 13, the Bills beat the shit out of both the Bengals and Rams that year and the narrative would be much different now. Heck, some people might even have Allen ahead of Mahomes.

2022 Bengals' team rank in the playoffs:

Defense: #2
Ofense: #13 (out of 14 lol)

2021 Bengals' team rank in the playoffs:

Defense: #4
Ofense: #8

If their defense is "middling", then the offense is worse than that. This is the shit I talk about when I say people make narratives in their heads and just go with it, without actually checking the facts. This is exactly why Burrow is overrated.

They were ranked much higher than I assumed, #5 defense. You throw a lot of shit at the wall, this stuck. Congrats

Burrow has led 7 drives to win games in his first couple seasons, that is pretty good. He also threw for 6 tds in the national championship game as a senior. It's not absurd to say he is a clutch player.

Sure, I'm not saying he isn't great, just that he's a bit overrated because of team success. He's easily a top 5 QB in the league, I just don't think he's the unquestioned second best QB if look at his individual stats.

Yes with OT guaranteed, the way Mahomes forced Joseph Ossai to do a stupid phuck unnecessary roughness when he was 2 yards out of bounds with 8 seconds to play and not timeouts was just genius play by Patty. Definitely better then Burrow.

With or without penalty, Mahomes was getting to FG range there.

8 seconds and no timeouts. Bengals hug the sidelines or if necessary let the Chiefs catch a pass over the middle with the caveat of an immediate tackle.
Either way it's OT.
Sure it's possible Patty hits a quick 7 yarder or MahomesRef comes to the rescue. Far far more likely was:

End of Super Bowl Bengals on 4th down near midfield. Aaron Donals lines up way the hell offside and plants there. Not like he crept up to the line at the last second. It's an obvious call for the ref that lines up exactly between the teams on the side. No call and what a surprise -not- Donalson gets the sack.

Should have been automatic 1st down, Bengals ball on Rams 43 yard line with 43 seconds left.
Love Joey B's chances there to get the FG or even game winning TD.
